Wholesome! - Organic Zero 35 x 6.2 oz. Individual Packets
Wholesome! Organic Zero is the perfect sweetener for those living a healthy lifestyle. Wholesome! Organic Zero is produced from Organic Sugar Cane Juice, which is naturally fermented and crystallized to create Organic Erythritol. Erythritol is a naturally occurring sugar alcohol that is found in our bodies, as well as in many fruits, vegetables and even certain fermented foods. You can use Organic Zero wherever you would use regular sugar and enjoy it without worrying about calories or artificial "nasties!" Organic Zero is clean-tasting; it has no intense sweetener aftertaste and no unpleasant digestive side-effects. It is even "tooth-friendly," as it reduces the plaque build-up which helps prevent tooth decay.
Zero Calories, Zero Glycemic Index:
Wholesome! Organic Zero is virtually calorie-free (0.2 cals/gram). Wholesome! Organic Zero has a glycemic index of zero, so while it sweetens, it does so without adding calories or spiking blood sugar the way other sweeteners often do. Research indicates that for most people, Wholesome! Organic Zero is highly digestible!
Zero Artificial Ingredients:
No chemicals are used in the production of Wholesome! Organic Zero. Organic sugar, or sucrose, is liquefied and an organically approved fermenting agent is introduced. The fermentation process converts the sucrose to Erythritol. The liquid is then filtered and the Erythritol is crystallized. It takes about 2lbs of Organic Cane Sugar to produce 1lb of Organic Zero. Organic Zero is great for diabetics, seniors, active adults, and because Zero is made from plants, it is also perfect for vegetarians.
Using Organic Zero in the Kitchen:
Wholesome! recommends using Organic Zero one-for-one replacement for conventional sugars (for a more opulent sweetness, consider adding a bit of Organic Raw or Light Blue Agave). It is a great sweetener for coffee and tea, sprinkled over fruit or cereal, or in sweet sauces--it takes its flavor a minute or two to "bloom." Keep it in a favorite sugar bowl on the kitchen table—even in humid climates. It doesn’t absorb moisture from the atmosphere so it remains free flowing. And baked goods made with Zero have longer “shelf lives” than those made with regular sugar. (Note: the molecular structure of Organic Zero prevents it from browning the way other sugars do.)
Zero is 70% as sweet as table sugar. But with zero calories and zero on the glycemic index, consumers can indulge with zero guilt.
