Why Don't the Labels Say Vegan on the Organic Food Bars with Chocolate?
Absolutely no Organic Food Bars contain any ingredient from animal sources. The reason they do not represent their packaging of bars with chocolate chips as vegan is because they are made on shared equipment that also makes dairy chocolate. They hold themselves to the highest standards of integrity and “Truth in Advertising.” That is why they are so careful about what they say on the labels. Keep in mind that they handcraft the bars in their own certified organic and kosher facility (which is exceedingly rare in this business). They also thoroughly clean the machines between productions. However, there may be trace amounts (in extremely low PPM (parts per million)) of dairy. Otherwise, their chocolate chips are dark chocolate and are non-dairy.
