Canus L'il Goat's Milk 40% Zinc Oxide Ointment (284g)

Zinc oxide is an effective diaper rash treatment. It forms a protective barrier that prevents further irritation and allows young skin’s natural healing process to take over. The goats have added their own, fresh milk to a 40% zinc oxide cream, creating a diaper rash ointment that helps neutralize the burning caused by contact with urine and brings an extra level of moisturizing relief to baby’s bum.

After the original Canus line was off and running, the goats decided that soft, delicate baby’s skin deserved extra attention. Li’l Goat’s Milk [or Petit Chevre, en francais] soaps and lotions are specially formulated using fresh goat’s milk, the gentlest ingredients and natural oils.

All Li’l Goat’s Milk products are ph-balanced for super-sensitive baby skin. All contain allantoin, too, which naturally and gently heals rashes and dry spots. With Li’l Goat’s Milk products, even the smallest members of the family can start life with goat-approved skin care.

  1. Change wet and soiled diapers promptly
  2. Clean the diaper area and allow to dry.
  3. Apply ointment liberally as often as necessary, with each diaper change, especially at bedtime or anytime when exposure to wet diapers may be prolonged.

Active Ingredients: Zinc Oxide (40%) (Skin Protectant) Inactive Ingredients: Petrolatum, Goats Milk (Fresh), Mineral Oil, Emulsifying Wax NF, Fragrance (Parfum), Beeswax, Propylene Glycol, Diazolidinyl Urea, Methylparaben, Propylparaben

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS STUFF!!!!!! This is the only thing that I have found that gets rid of 2 kids diaper rash 100% of the time. Both have excema and I have ran through a large gammit of products (I am sure that you know what they are) and a few perscriptions from the Doctor. I cannot tell you how tickled I was when just after one or two uses, Baby Butts were cleared up!!! You use less of it. I dont even have to use it every diaper change like I did the other stuff. Try it. And they have the best price on the Web.

I have not tried this product. Thought I might until I read the ingredients. All I can say is yikes!! Not only does it contain petroleum products (petroleum jelly, mineral oil), but it also contains parabens. I don't want to put by-products of the petroleum industry on my own skin, much less my child's and the same holds true with the parabens, which bioaccumulate and have been recently linked to cancer. Why are these inferior ingredients in this otherwise lovely product?!
