Hello world! Happy Family is born on Mother's Day 2006 and launches with a premium organic frozen baby food line in five Gourmet Garage locations.
They proudly introduce Happy Bellies-the first organic baby food cereal optimized with probiotics and DHA. Despite the fanfare around their frozen baby food meals, it isn't making the impact they hoped for-new moms aren't thinking of the freezer aisle for baby food. So, they pivot their strategy and begin one of their most important quests: finding an alternative to the glass jar.
After years of passionate, exhaustive research, they introduce pouches to the market, "the true alternative to the glass jar." Recognized for its innovation, the design is also kid-friendly, convenient, and socially responsible. Equally exciting, Happy Family is featured in the AMEX Small Business commercial and Shazi is recognized as an influential entrepreneur.
They bring some of the first gluten free baby products to market….and celebrate two other very special arrivals-the births of Shazi's son Zane and Jessica's son Leland.
Shazi is named Ernst and Young's 'Entrepreneur of the Year for New York' and nominated by Babble as "one of the moms changing the world" (they couldn't agree more!). They're also named Target's Vendor of the Year, happily reaching more moms and helping more babies thrive.
