MRM - Immune Response Support - 60 Vegetarian Capsules
MRM Immune Response Support is formulated with clinically effective probiotics and prebiotics. Age, allergies, stress, poor diet and lack of sleep can all lower immunity, opening the door to colds, flu and infection. This is especially risky for individuals with health disorders where maintaining peak immunity may be critical.
Immune system activity begins in the digestive tract, and is among the most intense immune response within the body. For this reason, long documented human strains of bacteria, known for their ability to stimulate immune response, have been added. Lactobacillus acidophilus LA-5 and Bifidobacterium, BB-12 help boost immune response and offer strong antimicrobial activity. Added arabinogalactans works in concert to encourage a rise in immune response.
Qualified Synbiotics are a combination of both prebiotics and probiotics that work in a synergy to colonize beneficial intestinal flora. With support of current research and controlled data, MRM pre-screened 42 different combination of pre- and probiotics to achieve the greatest possible partnership to enable the most potent formula for the support of optimal digestive health.
The immune system of the human body flourishes at the level of the gut. New Immune Response Support optimizes immune health with fiber from Larch Arabinogalactan. This complete formula – recognized for its immune-boosting power and digestive benefits – activates the body’s immune defense at the gut-level with the use of qualified prebiotic and probiotic matches found in our Qualified Synbiotics.
The addition of arabinogalactan fiber – commonly used to combat infections and high-risk viruses – create a formula ideal for digestive balance and function.
By design, Immune Response Support not only encourages healthy digestion, it also supports healthy immune response with specific probiotics (LA-5 and BB-12). Added probiotic sc-FOS supports growth of nonpathogenic intestinal microflora.
- Essential support during flu season
- Synergy of ingredients optimize the colonization of beneficial bacteria
- Vegetarian and vegan-friendly
Immune Response and Gut Health
The human immune system identifies, adapts and responds to what it encounters in the climate of the gut’s ecosystem. Specifically, it reacts to good and bad bacteria as a way to understand its role.
Nearly 30 feet in length in an average full-grown adult, the gastrointestinal tract encapsulates about 70 percent of the body’s immune system, where a multitude of bacterial colonies operate at the gut level where the potential to exert both positive and negative influence on immune response is great.
Where some groups of bacteria actively shape a healthy immune system, other less ideal colonizations promote an unhealthy climate that may lead to the onset of disease process, or may disrupt and skew the actual mechanisms of normal immune response.
The influence of microflora on the immune system is dependent upon several variables, including nutritional status, stress response and other factors – such as antibiotics and the use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. However, balance between beneficial and harmful colonies of microflora also exerts influence over the mechanisms through which colonies can exert beneficial or detrimental influence in protection against disease process, and other less menacing ailments.
And although research is still being done to identify the extent of positive responses exerted on the immune system by colonies of good bacteria, many more studies have noted the impact that harmful bacteria can have on the immune system in patients where diagnosis of inflammatory bowel diseases, such as Crohn’s, are confirmed.
Those interactions are obvious, but there are other causes for disease process taking hold as well.
Beyond pathogenic gut flora, the human immune response is also driven by viruses, toxins, and protein-based food fragments that can easily become contributing causes of diseases that affect both the gut and outlying organs. Various research studies show that the over-stimulation of the immune system by groups of bad bacteria can result in immune response and mitigation, including signaling molecules, that disrupt normal immune response.
The Connection Between the Gut and Other Key Systems
The process of digestion begins at mealtime when the gastrointestinal tract begins to extract nutrients for delivery to the many systems of the body, and casts a wide net in terms of the interplay it has with other bodily systems, including axis interactions between gut-brain, gut-circulation, gut-hormone and gut-immune. Not only does the gut communicate with all of these systems, but the existence of specific microflora colonies within the gut have been shown to exert great impact in how these systems are shaped early in life, and how they may function throughout the human life cycle.
For instance, there is evidence that the presence of certain harmful infectious microbial communities within the gut or oral cavity may either predict or hurry the path of atherosclerotic heart disease, and that antibiotics may even influence the path of obesity.
The enteric nervous system (ENS) poses an even more interesting link to the human gut, because a multitude of neurons that enable us to feel the inner world of our gut and its contents is located within the gastrointestinal tract.
Often referred to as the body’s “second brain”, the ENS informs our state of mind in more obscure ways, according to a 2010 article published in “Scientific American.” The article also states that ongoing studies illustrate the influence of the gut on human emotion due to the nerve endings found in the gut, and help shape our perceptions of life experiences and interactions.
In recent years, science has discovered that the careful pairing of specific, lab-tested combinations of pre- and probiotics creates the best match.
Not all pre- and probiotic pairs work well together. Some pairs accomplish little more together than they might have alone, and offer no added benefit to restoration of gut flora, or to gut or immune health in general. Much like a perfect mate versus an incompatible one, a ‘qualified’ match sets the stage for an optimized pairing of beneficial bacteria and food source that is capable of producing the best proliferative results at the gut level.
MRM has been tireless in conducting research that identifies specific and ideal couplings within a complex “qualification” process. It’s what we call “Qualified Synbiotics“ – a way to enable the isolation of the most effective pairings, based on the quality of the synergy they create as a unit.
These very specific pairings of probiotic and food source enable the immune system to be revitalized, and gastrointestinal health to be restored by way of super-teams of pre-qualified synbiotics that have the best chance of growth and survival in colonizing strains of beneficial bacteria at the gut level.
Qualified Synbiotics are that rare coupling – that match made in scientific heaven, full of sparks and fireworks.
