Olbas Aromatherapy Massage Oil and Inhalant 50 cc - 1.65 oz.

Olbas Oil originated in Basel, Switzerland over 100 years ago, and continues to be a European and worldwide favorite. The natural essential oils in Olbas are extracted from six medicinal herbs, which have been the basis of healing in cultures around the world for centuries. These oils are carefully blended by Swiss herbalists, making the Olbas formula truly unique. The synergistic combination of these six essential oils provides amazing sensations to your body at multiple levels.

Olbas Oil has long been a household name that families reach for when suffering from seasonal distress and related discomforts. As an aromatic inhalant, this completely natural essential oil formula delivers invigorating and soothing sensations to the nasal and bronchial areas. Olbas Oil can be dropped onto a handkerchief or into warm water for inhalation during the day. At night, a drop on a tissue tucked inside a pillowcase can help stimulate and enhance your breathing passages so that you get a good night's sleep.

Also well known for its use in massage, Olbas Oil tends to stimulate circulation at the surface of the skin. It opens up the pores and provides a comfortable warm and cool feeling in the muscles and joints.

Runners, cyclists and other sports enthusiasts praise the value of Olbas Oil. Massaging with Olbas Oil helps loosen muscles and make them supple, while inhaling Olbas vapors may help support endurance and performance.

About Olbas
Switzerland has many natural resources, among them the rich variety of flora that grows in the lush valleys, by the crystal clear lakes and in the pristine mountains. Given such an abundance of medicinal plants, it is not surprising that Swiss botanists and herbalists are renowned throughout the world for their skill in using natural herbal oils and essences to promote healing. Olbas is a remedy that has been carefully developed from this wealth of experience and knowledge.

It was here in Switzerland, over 100 years ago, that these herbalists and botanists developed a blend of pure essentials oils that came to be known as Olbas Oil.

The name OLBAS is an acronym for Oleum Basileum, "Oil from Basle". Basle is enviably nestled on the border of Switzerland, Germany and France in the very heart of Europe, and to this day is a center of pharmaceutical research in Switzerland.

Over the years, Olbas has found its way into the far reaches of the earth. From England to Australia, from South Africa to Sweden, Olbas has truly become an internationally favorite remedy.

In the United States, Olbas has been available for over 50 years. Initially, it was imported into the USA by Mrs. Heidi Ritter, a kindly woman of German decent, who lived in Oak Creek, Wisconsin. She provided Olbas Remedies to many in the midwest and throughout the United States.

In 1975, Mrs. Ritter turned over the importing of Olbas to Penn Herb Company Ltd. in Philadelphia, PA. Since that time, Penn Herb Company Ltd. has greatly expanded the distribution of Olbas Remedies in the United States, making it available in fine health food stores, selected drugstores, and through their mail order catalog, website and retail store. The line of remedies has also been extended to expand on the many and various uses of Olbas.

The Betz Family takes great pride in their worldwide reputation for quality products and friendly service. Now for over 3 generations, they continue to provide their customers with unique natural remedies from around the earth.

Olbas is one of those unique remedies that they have offered to their customers since the 1960's. It has been of great benefit to many, and they use Olbas themselves on a regular basis.

  • Daytime: Inhaling vapors from a tissue sprinkled with Olbas Oil quickly stimulates and enhances the breathing passages. Try adding 20 drops of Olbas Oil to a bowl of hot water, place a towel over the head and breathe in deeply for 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Nighttime: Simply sprinkle 5-10 drops on a tissue and tuck inside a pillowcase.

Body Massage: Apply Olbas Oil generously and gently massage the body. Stimulates surface circulation and delivers comfort to tired muscles and joints. Can be used for full body massage or as a spot massage at pressure points for quick effect.

Head: Massage a drop or two directly on the forehead and temples (Avoid contact with eyes).

Sore, aching feet: Massage directly on feet or add 25-50 drops of Olbas Oil to a dishpan of hot or cold water and soak feet for 10 to 15 minutes.

Compress: Add 10-20 drops of Olbas Oil to a bowl of hot or cold water. Submerse a cloth in the water, wring it out and place it on the desired area. Hot compresses feel soothing for aching bodies; cold compresses feel refreshing on the forehead.

For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. Keep out of the reach of children. In case of accidental ingestion, seek professional assistance or contact a poison control center immediately.

This is a good product - providing pleasant aromatherapy. I place several drops onto the car floor mats to have the aroma make the inside of the car smell nice.

This is the best thing I've found for keeping your nose clear during cold season. Put it in a diffuser for a good night's sleep

Olbas Oil is a fantastic product we use mainly for back massages, while it receives our terrible back pain.. We also use on our knees, as it heats n cools the joints, giving relief of our pain and discomfort. We use as a chest rub, increasing our ability to breathe better, as well as opening up our sinuses. We add it to our foot soak water, tasking away pain in our feet, and it stimulates the circulation n decreases swelling in ankles. We use Olbas on a daily basis, and its multi-purpose ability to relieve several discomforts all over the body is actually a money saver for us, it serves so many purposes, its the best product on "your shelf". I also like smaller bottles to give to friends so they can try it n fall in love with it themselves! I've turned many family members and friends onto it already! They all love it as much as we do!

Purchased this product to use in an Aromatherapy diffuser for relaxation and to clear sinus and nasal passages . Mix with 4 oz of water in the diffuser and let it run through the night at bedside. Scent is pleasant and it does aid in keeping sinus and nasal passages open.

I have been using Olbas Oil for close to 40 years. It is great for muscle aches and pains. I rely on it when I have a cold or any kind of congesting, inhaling it and rubbing it on my neck, chest and back. A drop in a small amount of baking soda makes a great toothpaste. It also relieves itching from bug bites.
