I've used this shampoo bar for two years exclusively and love it! My hair seemed to be falling out at a faster than usual rate, even though I've always used "natural" shampoos. I decided to try this one--easier to travel by air, as it is not a liquid--and have not turned back. Usually, a product will not work for me after a period of about six months, but no trouble with this one. For super-shiny hair and conditioning, I use a rosemary infused vinegar solution of 1 T. vinegar to 1 qt. water. This company also has a product pre-made for that, and if it is as good as this shampoo bar, it would be worth it if one doesn't want to make the vinegar solution from the cupboard. And the smell is wonderful!

This most definitely serves its purpose if you use it correctly and make sure you rub the bar all over your hair. It lathers well, I was very surprised of that after I rubbed it on my hair. It has a very light sweet clove and sandalwood smell, very pleasant and mild. I think it is also a good value for the size. You can use it on your body too, and I suppose that it would not be irritating to your skin - it is very mild for a soap. My suggestion would be to not use it alone in your hair washing. However, as I said this was a very mild soap, this doesn't strip your hair of moisture, so it would be ok alone. If you're going to use a conditioner with it, use a light type of conditioner and then make sure you rinse. I used one that didn't contain oils and was made for normal to oily hair. If you want to try something else, this may sound strange but rubbing a bit of apple cider vinegar - 1tsp - and then rinsing it out can do the trick to make your hair super soft after using a soap bar.
