Zum Clean Aromatherapy Laundry Soap
One of the best all natural laundry detergent products is Zum Clean, which provides ‘zum kinda clean! This handmade laundry soap is packed full of plant-based, simple ingredients. Most conventional concentrated laundry soap products are full of weird chemicals you can’t even pronounce including potential carcinogens, hydrochloric acid, propylene glycol, and formaldehyde! And, strangely enough, the government doesn’t regulate labeling for laundry detergents. So, if you care what goes on your skin and touches your family… and who doesn’t(?!)... you’ll really enjoy the clean ingredients in Zum Clean Laundry Soap. Even better is the fabulous scent. It’s strong without being overpowering. Frankincense and Myrrh are a timeless duo that will have people wondering why your clothes smell so great.

Essential Oils for Laundry
Most people love the scent of essential oils and don’t love the scent of their conventional laundry soaps! So, the idea pops into mind… why not add aromatherapy oils to the laundry? Indigo Wild was thinking ahead when they started creating Zum Clean Laundry Soaps in 1996. They have perfected the art of soapmaking and know how to add the proper amount of essential oils to laundry so the oils won’t degrade and spoil. Making your own handmade laundry soap is tempting, but why bother when Indigo Wild does it way better! This Frankincense and Myrrh laundry soap formula contains fragrant Frankincense essential oil and high-quality Myrrh oil combined with stabilizing ingredients that clean your clothes, leaving them feeling and smelling freshly fantastic.

What is Aromatherapy?
Aromatherapy is the art of using scent to positively affect your mood and physical state. Aromatherapeutic benefits can be obtained from fresh cut fruits, pine trees, and from anything natural. The most commonly well-known source for aromatherapy is the use of essential oils. These are oils that have been extracted from natural sources like plants. Frankincense comes from the resin of the boswellia tree. Myrrh oil is derived from the gum or resin of the commiphora tree. Zum Soap is a natural laundry detergent that utilizes some of the best essential oils for laundry products that smell as wonderful as they clean. Adding essential oils to laundry is a wonderful way to take advantage of aromatherapy. Your clothing, fabrics, and bedding carry the natural fragrance while you’re awake and while you sleep. Frankincense and Myrrh are calming and luxurious essential oils that have an air of regality about them, making you feel protected and abundant. Indigo Wild has been using essential oils in laundry soaps as long as they have been making Zum products. Functional and aromatherapeutic… who could ask for more?

Zum Clean
You want an all natural laundry detergent that deep cleans and smells great and you found it. Sure, you can try to make your own essential oil laundry detergent, but Indigo Wild knows how to do it right. Aromatherapy laundry detergent just doesn’t get any better. Just read through the Zum Clean Laundry detergent reviews. Zum Clean Frankincense and Myrrh Laundry Soap gets an average 4.5 star rating. Some of the Zum detergent reviews say they love the scent, it leaves their fabrics feeling soft and clean, and that LuckyVitamin has the best prices on Indigo Wild Zum products!

Indigo Wild Zum Clean Aromatherapy Laundry Soap Frankincense & Myrrh is a classic reunion of dark, dreamy, deep, woodsy, and sweet that overflows from head to tie. Indigo Wild's most popular couple. Clean up your laundry's grime scene with this all-natural spot-stain-stink cleaner. Zum Clean Laundry Soap isn't the "D" word (detergent) or all the nasty chemicals that go with it. And just because it cleans your panties naturally, doesn't mean it's a pantywaist. Indigo Wild uses coconut oil soap to clean and lift stains, baking soda to remove odors, and essential oils for a scent that is the perfect ending. No parabens, phosphates, petrochemicals, cocamidopropyl betaine, or sulfates. Low-sudsing, highly concentrated, and perfect for high-efficiency machines.

Cleans 32 to 64 Loads of Laundry

Zum Clean Aromatherapy Laundry Soap washes 32 loads in top-loading washing machines and 64 loads in high-efficiency machines. Also, Zum Clean is a natural fabric softener, so you can hang dryer sheets out to dry

  • Clean with Natural Soap, Not Harsh Detergent
  • 100% Pure Essential Oils & All-Natural Ingredients
  • Low-Sudsing, Highly Concentrated
  • Perfect for High-Efficiency Machines
  • Amazing Scent

Welcome to the (Washing) Machine
Indigo Wild is not a fan of censorship, but there are a lot of household cleaners that should shut the $&@#! up. Their toxic ingredients list is downright explicit (and not in a good way). Fragrances containing phthalates that are produced in test tubes can cause respiratory irritation and are “probable carcinogens,” propylene glycol, hydrochloric acid, even formaldehyde! And the government doesn’t require companies to list their ingredients on packaging. So they could be putting in nasty stuff like Alice Cooper’s unwashed leather pants, and we’d have no idea. Because what you put on or around your hot body is just as important as the stuff you put in it and that's why Indigo Wild only uses the most pure, simple ingredients.

  • Never Animal Tested
  • All Indigo Wild is Vegetarian & Gluten-Free
  • Zum Clean is Also Vegan

All Zum products are vegetarian.

Most Are Vegan
All Zum Products are Vegan, Except Zum Bars (Goat's Milk), Zum Kisses (Honey), & Zum Rub (Goat's Milk).

Indigo Wild
Their people were born to be Indigo Wild. And – guilty as charged – every one of them is a true nature's child. They've banded together to thump and bump the rock and soul into every batch of Zum Bars, Glows, Rubs, Kisses, and more. Individually, their peeps are virtuosos who are oh-so major to helping the ingredients sing. But together, they're fusicians who ensure the holistic is always greater than the Zum of its parts.

They make Indigo Wild's stuff rock, balancing the rhythm that forms the backbone: goat's milk, soy wax, jojoba oil, shea butter, argan oil, dragon's blood. They add stuff like meadowfoam seed oil, rosehip oil, and botanical extracts for bass vibes you can feel. Then they bring out the 100% pure essential oils to lay down a melody that hits the high notes.

Causes Indigo Wild Supports
At Indigo Wild, they love dogs and hate breast cancer. Many of their own pups are rescues, and they are active in Kansas City Sheltie Rescue. They like Zum Mutts and they cannot lie. Small ones, big ones, fat ones, skinny ones. Old, young, hairy, bald mutts and pure breeds. Their place runneth over with the dogs they love, and that’s why they have teamed up with Kansas City Sheltie Rescue. For each Y.U.M. Bar sold, they donate $1.00 to Kansas City Sheltie Rescue, a non-profit Sheltie Rescue Corporation that rescues and searches for great “fur-ever” homes for Shelties in the Greater Kansas City area.

They also have some cancer fighters in their ranks, and Indigo Wild is working with some great local charities to support cancer warriors. The Betsy line is named in honor of Indigo Wild's own Zum Chick, Besty Medina, who Van Dammed cancer more than 14 years ago. Today she is cancer free, but thousands of people still need support.

Indigo Wild created the Betsy line to give back to both breast cancer patients and survivors. $1.00 for every Betsy Bar sold is donated to Turning Point: The Center for Hope and Healing, a program that provides empowerment and transformation of the mind, body, and spirit of individuals living with serious or chronic illnesses. 25% of sales of every Betsy Body go to Back in the Swing, a non-profit organization that supports healthy and proactive living for breast cancer survivors.

No Dirty Words!
There are handful of ingredients Indigo Wild simply avoids when it comes to handmaking their products. They're not just dirty, they're downright disgusting. Indigo Wild don't and will never use the following ingredients:

No Animal Tallow
Animal Tallow or Sodium Tallowate, comes from rendered animal fat. Many rendering companies get their animal lard from road kill.

No Cocamidopropyl Betaine
Cocamidopropyl Betaine is a surfactant, giving detergents their manufactured cleansing and lathering properties. It is a known irritant to skin, eyes and lungs. Plus, it has been shown it can be carcinogenic.

No Sulfates or Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS)
Sulfates/Sodium lauryl sulfate and its extended family are used in products as an inexpensive foaming agent. It's an eye and skin irritant, and products containing laureth chemicals have been found to contain levels of 1,4 dioxan, which the EPA has classified as a carcinogen.

No Petroleum By-Products or Mineral Oil
Petroleum by-products and mineral oil are by-products of the distillation of gasoline from oil. It coats skin like plastic, clogging pores and interfering with the skin's ability to eliminate toxins. It slows cell development and skin function. You'll find this inexpensive ingredient in a lot of baby products and lotions.

No Phthalates
Phthalates are used in perfumes and beauty products to make fragrance last longer. It interferes with the endocrine system, which regulates your body's growth, metabolism and sexual development and function.

No Triclosan
Triclosan is an antibacterial, antifungal chemical used in many consumer products. Studies by the FDA show it may contribute to bacteria resistance to antibiotics and alters hormone regulations. It is registered as a pesticide with the EPA.

No Parabens
Parabens are chemical preservatives found in many body care products and cosmetics. They are linked to breast cancer as they have been found in breast cancer tumors and they mimic estrogen, a hormone known to aid in the development of breast cancer.

No Artificial Colors
Artificial colors labeled as FD&C and believed to be cancer causing agents.

No Propylene Glycol
Propylene glycol, a chemical derived from natural gas that acts as a penetration enhancer. It can alter the structure of skin by allowing chemicals to penetrate your skin and increase likelihood chemicals will enter the bloodstream.

No Chemical Sunscreens
Chemical sunscreens absorb in the skin, thus also absorbing the harmful UV light and can cause skin damage, irritation and increase risk of cancer.

DEA/TEA a chemical wetting agent and emulsifier for shampoos, lotions and creams. They can react with ingredients in cosmetic formulas to form NDEA, a potent carcinogen. NDEA is readily absorbed through the skin and has been linked with stomach, esophagus, liver and bladder cancers.

PEGs or PPGs are synthetic ingredients processed with ethylene oxide which is associated with reproductive effects, central nervous system depression and is an EPA classified carcinogen.

No Tetrasodium Edta
Tetrasodium EDTA, a preservative made with carcinogens, formaldehyde and sodium cyanide. It's a penetration enhancer so it breaks down the skin's protective barrier absorbing in the blood stream.

No Diazolidinyl Urea
Diazolidinyl Urea, a preservative that acts as a formaldehyde releaser in body care products. Formaldehyde is classified as a human carcinogen by the EPA.

No Benzoyl Peroxide
Benzoyl Peroxide, an antibacterial used in topical medications designed to treat skin conditions, however it is a skin, eye and respiratory irritant. It has also been linked to cancer and tumor growth.

No Resorcinol
Resorcinol, a hazardous chemical commonly found in hair dye and varous skin treatments. It is restricted in federal government buildings and has been shown to cause thyroid dysfunction, effects on the central nervous system, and alterations in the adrenal glands of animals.

No Hydroquinone
Hydroquinone is a skin lightener used in many whitening creams to reduce dark spots. However, it permanently alters skin's pigment while also weakening the elastin and collagen wherever it is used. It is considered cytotoxic (toxic to cells) and mutagenic.

No Methylsothiazolinine (MIT)
MIT is an antibacterial preservative that has been shown to contain neurotoxic properties. Studies have concluded that MIT can cause brain cell damage, increased risk of seizures and visual abnormalities.

No Oxybenzone
Oxybenzone is an active ingredient in many sunscreen products. It has been linked to hormone disruption and in hormone-related cancers in men and women.

Pour 1/2 cap full (2 oz.) in top-loading washing machines (total of 32 loads). Pour 1/4 cap full (1 oz.) in high-efficiency machines (total of 64 loads). Adjust amount used based on size of load.

Sodium cocoate (saponifed 100% coconut oil), sodium bicarbonate (baking soda), essential oils, fragrance and glycerin (vegetable).

Indigo Wild

Indigo Wild’s not-so-secret ingredients: goats milk, glycerin, soy wax, shea butter, meadowfoam seed oil and pure essential oils for whiff. This company runs from bad ingredients like artificial surfactants (synthetic foaming agents), petrochemicals, glycols and parabens. And they take a pass on animal testing – the only animals they test are boyfriends, girlfriends, husbands and wives. What we're saying is, there's a lot that goes on behind indigo wild’s shower curtain before any products go behind yours. At Indigo Wild, there's more than meets the whiff.

I love the scent and cleaning ability of this product, but there is one fatal flaw that makes it utterly useless for me (and for many others): if the bottle is allowed to sit in an environment that is below room temperature it will congeal, making it impossible to get out of the bottle. Even worse, there is no way to undo this, even if you get it back up to (or above) room somehow goes through an irreversible chemical change. I have spend a pretty penny on a bucket-full of pretty smelling sludge. Perhaps it will now serve me as a high-priced room deodorizer :(When I say that it cooled below room temperature, I mean that it sat in the laundry area of my basement, which is perhaps 58 degrees Fahrenheit...not exactly the Arctic. For anyone who lives in a colder climate, this product is unfortunately worthless. A big thumbs-down to the Zum company for not testing their product adequately(this sort of thing is easily avoidable).

I love Zum Clean! My daughter borrowed a shirt from my friend, and we loved how it smelled. we had been looking for a natural alternative to my Tide/ Downy combo I had used for years. We fell in love with our first bottle, and now there's no going back!
