Seventh Generation Natural All Purpose Cleaner Spray Free & Clear is an all-around-the-home cleaner.  Effectively cleans and degreases hard surfaces both inside and outside your home. Excellent for wet mopping. Not recommended for use on wood floors.

What Does "Free & Clear" Mean?
"Free" refers to the absence of added fragrances. Seventh Generation carefully selects ingredients that have minimal scent so that fragrances are not necessary. Some conventional products that are called “Free” actually use masking agents to cover the scent of their ingredients. Masks are fragrances that do not have a strong odor of their own, but can "overload" the olfactory sense so other fragrances are difficult to detect, too.

"Clear" is used to indicate that no dyes or pigments are added to the cleaning product. The dyes and pigments used in most conventional cleaning products are not biodegradable, and have aquatic toxicity.

Are Your Products Kosher Certified For Passover?
Seventh Generation products are Kosher Pareve. Pareve indicates that the product does not contain meat or milk or their derivatives.

Many of their products are kosher certified for Passover and year-round use. This includes their Laundry products (except Fabric Softener Sheets) and Household Cleaners (except Disinfecting Cleaners), their Dishwashing products and most Hand Washes are kosher certified for Passover and year-round use. Their Disinfecting Cleaners, Fabric Softener Sheets and Baby Personal Care products are not kosher certified.

The certifying organization Seventh Generation uses is the Orthodox Union. Their certification symbol is the letter U in a circle. This symbol can be found on the label of  Seventh Generation products that are kosher.

Are Seventh Generation Products Vegan, Or Vegan-Friendly?
Yes, all Seventh Generation products are free of animal products, and are vegan. In addition, their products are not tested on animals. Seventh Generation is vegan-friendly!

Do Seventh Generation Products Contain Nonyl Phenoxy Ethoxylate (NPE)? What Is NPE? Are There Safety Concerns About NPE?
No, Seventh Generation products do not contain NPE.

NPE stands for Nonyl Phenoxy Ethoxylate. NPE is a synthetic (petroleum-derived) nonionic surfactant (cleaning agent) used in cleaning products. Common applications include laundry liquid detergents and hard surface cleaners (spray cleaners and dilutable cleaners.)

NPE has been determined to be estrogenic. That is, it can mimic the hormone estrogen. In laboratory studies, exposure to NPE has resulted in hermaphroditic (fish with both male and female sexual organs). [1] There is also experimental evidence that NPE reduces sperm counts in rats.

Do You Use Sustainable Palm Oil?
Seventh Generation announced that they have become the first company in their industry in North America to purchase sustainable palm kernel oil certification credits to offset company wide use of the ingredient across its entire product line. By purchasing the credits, Seventh Generation is paying a premium to palm kernel oil producers that use more environmentally responsible practices to produce and harvest palm kernel oil. This credit purchase is an important first step in creating a segregated sustainable palm kernel oil supply chain used in Seventh Generation products.

Does Seventh Generation Have Gluten In Their Cleaning Products?
No. Seventh Generation has implemented a testing program to verify their cleaning and personal care product formulations are gluten-free.

What Does “Biodegradable Formula” Mean To Seventh Generation?
Technically speaking, this means the formula and each of its carbon containing ingredients will rapidly decompose into simple, non-toxic substances in 28 days or less.

A father of four, John and his wife Kristin count Seventh Generation liquid laundry detergent among their favorite products.

Hold sprayer 6 to 8 inches from surface, spray area and wipe with paper towel or cloth.  For wet mopping, add 2 to 4 oz. cleaner per gallon of cool water.  Safe for most washable surfaces.  Before using, always test on an inconspicous spot on water sensitive surfaces and for color fastness on painted surfaces, plastics, fabric and carpet.  Not for use on unfinished wood or fine furniture. 


Water, caprylyl/myristyl glucoside (plant-derived cleaning agent), lauramine oxide (plant-based cleaning agent), sodium gluconate (plant-derived water softener), sodium carbonate (mineral-based alkalinity builder), benzisothiazolinone and methylisothiazolinone (synthetic preservatives).
