B. Longum has been called the 'Champion Colonizer of the infant gut' due to its ability to digest and consume Oligosaccharides in infants; essential to the development of the infant's intestinal microbiota.

Product Science

Why should you take a probiotic?
Researchers have called the gut microbiome the “forgotten organ” because they are only now discovering how important it is to your bodily functions. Your intestinal tract and the microbes that make up the gut microbiome affect everything from your immune system, nutrient digestion, vitamin creation and more.

How many strains are in the probiotics?
There are 6 strains in the probiotics: Lactobacillus acidophilus DDS-1, Lactobacillus reuteri, Bifidobacterium bifidum, Bifidobacterium breve, Bifidobacterium lactis, and Bifidobacterium longum.

Why have they chosen these strains?
They have chosen only the most studied strains with benefits to the immune system, digestion, mood and female health.

Is there yeast in this product?
There is no yeast in the product.

Does this product need to be refrigerated?
No need for refrigeration. Similar to active dry yeast used in baking, our probiotics are freeze dried so they survive without the need for refrigeration.

Do you kill them if you put them in the fridge?
Not at all! Refrigeration is A-okay! Do not freeze the probiotics however.

Where are the ingredients sourced from?
They source ingredients from North America and Europe whenever possible and only use the highest quality plant-based food that has been certified USDA Organic. Some of the ingredients are native to South America or Asia and are best grown there. Others are seasonal and better quality ingredients can be found in other parts of the world depending on the time of year.

About Ora

The word Ora comes from the Maori language of New Zealand and means "to be alive and healthy".

Ora is the only organic, fully plant-based & synthetic-free supplement brand. The startup was created by and for healthy foodies to replace synthetic supplements with nutrients from real food. That means vitamin C from organic gooseberries, not synthetic ascorbic acid. Ora aims to replace every product in the supplement aisle with a nutrient from the earth. If it doesn't come from nature, it shouldn't be in your pantries.

That ethos lead them to bring on award-winning chef from Santa Barbara, Ron Chang. Ron has cooked for Pulitzer Prize winning food critic Jonathan Gold of the L.A. Times., and uses his culinary prowess to make Ora's products taste amazing.
