I And Love And You - Raw Raw Beef Boom Ba Dinner Dry Dog Food - 5.5 lbs. (2.5kg)

I And Love And You Raw Raw Beef Boom Ba Dinner Dry Dog Food is some seriously awesome pet food. "Oh hey, Jeff! Thanks for coming to the barbecue! I'm just throwing some steaks on the grill right now," said no coyote ever. Why? Because coyotes, wolves, and any other distant relative of our pal, the domesticated dog, never ate anything cooked or processed. They hunt and forage for their food, then eat it sans flame. Raw Raw Beef Boom Ba Dinner contains the same type of raw, natural ingredients that dogs were meant to eat and enjoy. And you didn't have to go crossbow hunting in the woods for it. Add water, and boom! Full meal. Be prepared to get lots of high fives. In the leg. With a tail.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where are I and love and you products made? Are any of their products made in China?
All of their products are produced and packaged in the United States, and the vast majority of their ingredients are sourced and originate in the United States. They do source some proteins from outside the United States, such as from Australia, Brazil, and New Zealand, as indicated on their packaging. Some other ingredients do originate from outside the United States - for example, lentils can be sourced from the United States or Canada. There are some essential vitamins and minerals that do not originate in the United States because they are not produced here. Taurine, for instance, which is used in their dry and wet cat food to meet the nutrient requirements set by AAFCO, is not produced in the United States and may be sourced from Japan or China. Their vitamin premixes are blended in the United States by a US company, and their supplier undergoes numerous quality checks to ensure that safety and specifications are met. They at "I and love and you" believe in full transparency.

Are "I and love and you" pet foods organic?
No, at this time none of their products are organic. That said, all of their pet food, chews and treats meet their natural standard - made from quality ingredients with no artificial flavors or colors, no preservatives and no by-product meals.

I can't find my favorite "I and love and you" product anymore, was it discontinued?
Alas, from time to time they do discontinue some of their products.

Is their food human grade?
While their ingredients are very high quality, once they are sourced and shipped to a pet food production facility, they are no longer considered by the USDA to be human grade. If they shipped Wagyu beef to their facility - the kind used to make fancy burgers that cost like 35 bucks in a restaurant - that would still be the case. So while they humans have been known to eat tasty "I and love and you" treats, their food is not considered human grade due to this USDA regulation (and humans, their treats are best enjoyed by your pets, please don't try this at home).

How many calories are in their food?
They know even their pets sometimes need to watch what they eat and count a few calories. You can find the calorie count of each of their foods (kibble, dehydrated raw and cans) on the back label of the bag under the Guaranteed Analysis or by visiting the product pages on their website.

Are raw foods safe for my pet?
Yes of course! Your pet's digestive system is designed to process raw dehydrated food. And it's super tasty, so your pet will love their dinner.

I want to switch to a new "I and love and you" food but I'm worried about my pet. What is the proper way to transition?
Please transition slowly when switching your pet's food. Your pet is used to processing a certain type of food, and when a new one is introduced, especially a fresh, raw or less processed food, it can be a bit of a shock to their system. Determine your pet's normal daily portions and start with 90% of your pet's current food and just 10% "I and love and you" food. Gradually up the ratio to 80% old food and 20% "I and love and you" food, slowly increasing "I and love and you" food and decreasing the old food. If you notice loose stools make the transition even slower. They know it can be tough for the first few days, but they promise your pet will thank you!

Are their cans BPA Free?
Their 3oz aluminum cat cans are BPA free. Their 13oz steel dog cans contain minimal amounts of BPA at levels below the FDA guidelines. While there are large BPA free cans of certain foods available for human food, there is currently not a viable alternative to epoxy coatings that meet the existing requirements of canned dog food.

Do they test their food on animals?
"I and love and you" does not participate in any invasive animal testing. They do, however, work with reputable kennels to feed test new innovation for palatability and digestibility, all in the best interest of your pet. Their own pets happily participate in these taste tests, as well.

Are their products all natural?
Since there's no industry standard for what makes a pet food "all natural," they've made up their own definition. They hope you like it: all natural (adj.) - containing no artificial flavors, colors, preservatives or yucky additives, byproducts or other junk. Synonym: garbage-free. All of their products meet this standard.

Quality Standards
I And Love And You always:
  • Selects wild-caught, grass-fed, free-range and cage-free meats raised without the use of antibiotics and growth hormones when available
  • Produces their nutritional supplements in FDA registered, human-grade facilities
  • Creates their foods and treats in USDA inspected facilities
  • Uses minimally processed ingredients to preserve naturally occurring nutrients for whole food sourced nutrition
  • Creates their foods and treats with human-quality ingredients, never by-products or rendered meat

They never use:

  • Genetically modified ingredients when crafting their foods and treats whenever it is possible
  • Artificial preservatives
  • Artificial colors or artificial flavorings
  • Additives or fillers
  • Corn, soy, by-products or un-named meats in their foods

I And Love And You is a young company, but they're starting off on the right foot.

  • Their entire operation is wind powered
  • They're striving to be a Zero Waste facility: office paper is recycled, coffee grounds are composted, boxes are reused, and everything from plastics to broken electronics and even burned out light bulbs are taken to Boulder's hard to recycle facility (CHaRM).
  • Employees are encouraged to take alternative transportation: they are given annual eco-passes for when they want to catch a bus to work or one up to the mountains. Plus, Boulder is one of the most bike-friendly cities in the country and it shows... there are almost as many bikes in the office as dogs.
  • All paper they use (when they even use it) is made from 100% post-consumer stock. But they try to stick to using computers and Twitter to carrier pigeons, and then paper only when necessary.
  • They have a dedicated core of individuals that educates the company on sustainability and even leads them on field trips and community projects.
  • They take their "greenest" stance with their products. Whether they're hunting down non-GMO vegetables for their "in the raw" line or respecting animals and the environment alike with their free range, grass fed Free Ranger Stix, every product they sell strives to not only offer the healthiest option for your pet, but also the healthiest option for our planet.

Giving Back
I And Love And You loves their pets and does everything they can to provide them with all they need. Food, shelter, love, regular high-fives. Sadly, many dogs and cats don't have that kind of relationship with a caring human. They're at rescues waiting for loving families to take them home. Shelters do wonderful work for animals without a home, but their resources are often limited. They've partnered up with several fantastic no-kill animal shelter and adoption centers by donating food.
