For optimal absorption into the body, the best time to take SAMe is on an empty stomach at least 30 minutes before a meal. To support and promote joint health, mobility and joint comfort, take 2 tablets twice a day. For optimal mood and emotional well-being, take 2 tablets in the morning and 2 tablets in the afternoon. Taking SAMe at bedtime may interfere with a good night's rest.
