Burt's Bees - Toner Garden Tomato - 8 oz. (236 ml)

Burt's Bees Garden Tomato Toner removes residues of facial soaps, cleanser, and dead skin cells, while restoring natural pH balance to the skin. The tonic benefits of tomato, cucumber and parsley extract deep clean and tighten pores, leaving skin smoother, firmer, and more finely-textured.

How Garden Tomato Toner Works
Tomato, cucumber and parsley extracts help to clean and tighten pores, leaving skin smoother and firmer. They're blended with sugar cane, sugar maple and bilberry extract, natural Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs), to help boost skin's elasticity and accelerate exfoliation. This formula is recommended for normal to oily skin.

Featured Ingredient
Tomato Extract: Purifying to the skin, naturally acidic tomato extract also helps balance the PH of the skin.

Natural Ingredients Make All the Difference
It's long been held that you're only as healthy as what you put in your body. Burt's Bees believes the same goes for what you put on it. Since you are a part of nature, it only makes sense that natural products work better because they work in harmony with your body. Natural ingredients nurture your skin and hair with wholesome nutrients that your body chemistry is familiar with. Your skin can more easily metabolize natural ingredients over synthetic ones.

What's more, your skin is your largest organ, and what you put on it gets absorbed into your body. In fact, studies show that 60% of the ingredients you put on your body get absorbed into it. Synthetic chemical ingredients with a potential human health risk can have potentially harmful effects. It's enough to make you think twice about letting your skin and hair soak up these synthetic ingredients. That's why at Burt's Bees, they use natural ingredients and natural processes to ensure that the products they make for you, the consumers, are the safest, most effective and most natural they can possibly be, to help maximize your well-being.

Burt's Bees Frequently Asked Questions
Are your products hypoallergenic?
There is no defined methodology to test for allergic reactions in beauty or personal care products, nor does the FDA regulate use of the term "hypoallergenic." Consequently, Burt's Bees does not position their products as hypoallergenic. A list of ingredients for each product is available on individual product information pages on this site.

Are your products safe for pregnant women to use?
Burt's Bees recommends that any expectant mother check with her physician before changing her skin care routine with their products, or any other line of products.

How long will my Burt's Bees products stay fresh and what is the best way to store them?
Burt's Bees products are made with natural ingredients. They purposely present our products in smaller portions so you finish them while their ingredients are still fresh and providing their maximum effectiveness. As such, we recommend you store creams and oils in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight and heat. Creams may be stored in their cartons for extra protection.

Where are Burt's Bees products made?
Over 95% of Burt's Bees products are made right in their own manufacturing plant in Durham, NC. The rest are made by other respectable American manufacturers.

Do you test on animals and do your products contain animal-derived ingredients?
Burt's Bees does NOT conduct product or ingredient tests of any kind on animals. A few of their products contain ingredients derived from animals such as beeswax, royal jelly, milk and carmine.

I am allergic to bees. Can I still use your products?
Burt's Bees does not use actual bee venom in their products – only bee by products such as honey, beeswax, royal jelly and honey powder. However, if you are allergic to bee by-products, then Burt's Bees does not suggest using their products. They recommend that you contact your health care provider when changing your skin care regimen to find out which products are best for you.

About Burt's Bees

At Burt’s Bees, they scour the good earth to find the most natural, effective ingredients to put in our products. To Burt’s Bees, the word “natural” means only one thing. It means, “harvested from nature.” And they adhere to that definition like the strictest of school teachers. There are ingredients that you will never find in any Burt’s Bees product. Things like petroleum which can be toxic. Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, which is a harsh, aggressive ingredient used in certain beauty products. And when was the last time you saw a farmer growing Propylene Glycol? Rather than loading their products up with harsh chemicals or unnecessary fillers, they offer you only the good stuff.

I've got really sensitive, oily, peeling skin full of clogged pores. This toner smells good but it's not off-putting. My face is prone to blistering from chemical reactions, most notably Neutrogena products. Due to the high level of oil production of my face that doesn't change no matter how much I avoid using anything on my face or using just a little, I gave up on trying to bend to my skin's will and decided I was just going to use toner multiple times a day to control the oil. I use this stuff upwards of five times a day and have not faced any type of increased sensitivity, dryness, or irritation. I use multiple toners so I can't say I've noticed this one clearing up any of my clogged pores or reducing acne. I'm especially a fan of the Burt's Bees Rosewater toner and while I like this tomato one, I think I would choose the Rosewater in the future.

GREAT FOR ACNE: I love this product! My face is oily but this product helps reduce the oiliness. I feel clean and refreshed each time I put it on my face. In combination with Burt Bee's Blemish Stick and Grandpa Soap Thylox, my acne has significantly improved and now resolving. I used these products on a pimple scar I had since 1998 and it's now nearly obsolete. I look in the mirror and cannot see it anymore, so I know others cannot see it either. All my other acne scars are disappearing, too. I have used sooo many other products: Proactiv, Acne Free, Dr. Brown Rx for Brown Skin, EVERYTHING, but these products are a win-win!

This is an amazing product. I have been suffering from acne for years and this is the only product that seems to have cleared my acne without the harmful side effects of many acne products out there. This is an all-natural product that is actually effective. It doesn't smell like straight up alcohol (many other toners do) and it doesn't dry out my skin or burn. This product is so gentle that I am able to use this product multiple times throughout the day whenever my skin looks like it needs to be refreshed. I would definately recommend this product to anyone with acne-prone skin.
