Since 1980, Huy Fong Foods has been creating spicy chili sauces that have captivated the palettes of food lovers everywhere. Their most popular product, the sriracha chili sauce, catapulted the company from a 5,000 sq ft production space in the 1980s to a 650,000 sq ft facility now located in the city of Irwindale, California. David Tran, the founder of the company, was an immigrant of Vietnam and continued his work of making sauces once he arrived in the United States – little did he know that it would be so well received.
Simple and Spicy Ingredients Make Up Tran’s “Secret” Sauce
Huy Fong Foods uses naturally grown chilies in their sauce which sometimes means that their sauces are of different intensities and slightly different flavors. Their sauces are Kosher and gluten-free though and the products are made 100% in the USA at their new facility. The “secret” sauce, as it is affectionately known by the employees of the company, is great almost with anything and has a loyal following.
Lovers of the Hot Sauce Products can Now Even Tour the Facilities
With the opening of their new facility in Irwindale, Huy Fong Foods has been able to offer tours and shows of their production process to any customers that want to see the process. David Tran worked tirelessly himself to design the facility and all the equipment that the company uses and it has paid off in a big way for the success of the company. Open houses and tours are a regular occurrence at Huy Fong Foods and can be taken on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at 10 am, 12:30 pm and 2 pm.
