After retiring, Tolerant founder Tom Friedmann set out to find a new career in the food industry, with a desire to help himself and others age gracefully, healthily, and disease-free. After attending a wellness retreat in 2005, Tom realized that meat was not a necessary part of a healthy lifestyle, and learned how to incorporate legumes into a raw, green diet. From there, Tom and his wife started Tolerant, a line of grain-free, legume-based pastas.
