Manduka Helps to Make Yoga Fun and Easy
Part of what may contribute to success in yoga is not only have a desire to practice it, but the right equipment with which to do so. Manduka may be just the place to go when looking for the right yoga mat or yoga apparel. Manduka eco-friendly yoga mats are made to last, and provide just the right amount of padding and ‘grip’ needed for a success session. The ability to move freely is also important in yoga, which is why Manduka yoga leggings and cross strap bras may provide not only the freedom of movement necessary, but also the necessary support.
The Manduka Story
Peter Sterios, Manduka founder, wanted to show honor to the yoga technique taught to him by his first teacher, Shandor Remete. Shandor taught the yoga school known as Mandukasana, which means ‘frog’. Shortening the name slightly brought Manduka into being. Peter has always been dedicated not only to promoting the healthy practice of yoga, but to making it more accessible to others. He developed a line of yoga mats that provide comfort and stability for yoga students. And in order to help make each session more enjoyable, Peter offers a line of yoga clothing designed with comfort, ease of movement, and support in mind.
Manduka and Project Om
Peter Sterios and Manduka are participants in Project Om, which seeks to help other discover the healing and life-elevating benefits of yoga. In today’s stressful world, being able to relax, unwind, and get outside oneself for even a short period of time may have great benefits. Project Om’s mission is also to help make the world itself a much better place through yoga. The Susan G. Komen Foundation also benefits from Project Om, which helps women with breast cancer. Peter knows that what anyone gets out of the world may equal what is put into it.
