They bring a touch of Carribean or Asian cooking to your culinary possibilities with creamy coconut milk that’s useful for making beverages, curry, sauce, or soup. The company also makes non-GMO artichoke hearts in both whole and quartered forms. These vegetables are full of nutrition and are farmed and ethically sourced in a way that’s meant to leave you with a clear conscience and a light heart.
How does More Than Fair live up to Its Fair Trade Commitment?
Fair trade is at the core of More Than Fair, as its name is meant to declare. All of the products they offer are grown under organic conditions in a way that’s earth-friendly and helps to preserve the environment. The agricultural techniques used help to maintain soil richness, prevent erosion, and promote local biodiversity. They also pay excellent prices to local, ethical farmers and artisans, helping to support farm communities everywhere. All of their compensation and environmental claims are verified by a third party, the Fair Trade Sustainability Alliance or FairTSA.
A Quest for Vegetarian Miso led to More Than Fair’s Founding
More Than Fair is a brand of Edward & Sons Trading Company, an enterprise launched in 1978 by Joel Dee. Quitting the family candy business, Joel started offering America’s first instant miso soup mix, after a trip to Japan to find vegetarian miso. Naming the company after his dad and brothers, he soon branched out and made the USA’s first gluten-free crackers, long before gluten-free caught on. Today, the company continues to offer all kinds of natural and organic groceries for the health-conscious kitchen.
