Flavorful Sjaak’s Organic Chocolates are Fully Vegan to Boot
Delicious chocolate snack foods and earth-friendly sustainability are the two main goals of Sjaak’s Organic Chocolates, a company with a long history in fair trade chocolates. As a special feature of the chocolates they make, all of them are fully vegan, with zero animal-derived ingredients. No gelatin, milk, butter, or eggs are used in any of the recipes. In fact, they’ve gone so far as to develop a dairy-free “milk” chocolate that has a rich, creamy texture and flavor despite being made from 100% plant-based ingredients.
Why Sjaak’s Organic Chocolates uses a Windmill as Their Symbol
A small, hard-working family business, Sjaak’s Organic Chocolates has its origins in grain milling that stretches back for generations. The company logo features the family windmill, named Antonius Mollen, which stood for many years in the picturesque landscape of Holland. The original mill was destroyed during the fighting in the Second World War, but a new one has been built on the site and the family tradition continues. Jacques, the Sjaak’s founder, took the family business in a fresh, exciting new direction with the launch of his fair trade chocolates line.
Eco-Friendly & Sustainable Agriculture is the Source for Sjaak’s Cacao
Along with their commitment to completely vegan recipes, Sjaak’s Organic Chocolates also uses only organic cacao in their products. The reason for this is twofold – it makes healthier, more natural foods for people to enjoy, and it encourages sustainable farming practices that don’t pollute or exhaust the earth. All of their materials are obtained through fair trade, too, to help support local farmers and their communities. Their goal is to be socially and environmentally responsible while offering some of the tastiest chocolates around.
