Stasher Keeps Food Fresh & Saves the Planet with Silicone Bags
Providing a viable alternative to conventional, disposable food storage bags is Stasher’s mission, one they accomplish with groundbreaking reusable silicone bags. They chose to use silicone because it’s still flexible, making it easy to fold into compact shapes or fit in tight areas, unlike hard storage boxes. The silicone is also non-toxic, so it doesn’t leach BPA or other chemicals into food. Stasher designs their bags to be thick and tough enough so that they can be potentially reused hundreds or even thousands of times.
Washable & Microwaveable Reusable Silicone Bags make Food Storage Eco-Friendly
Stasher manufactures their silicone bags to be fully dishwasher safe as well as hand-washable, making them easy to clean after each use. They designed a pinch-lock seal into each bag so that it can be closed to keep foods moist, exclude odors, and generally perform like other sealable bags. The bags are produced in several sizes, including compact sandwich bags and half-gallon bags for larger items. With the high temperature resistance of the silicone Stasher uses, most of their bags are also microwave-safe for reheating the foods they contain.
A Desire for a Healthier Planet led to the Stasher Innovation
Looking to raise the bar on healthy, eco-friendly, reusable food storage, Stasher was started by Kat Nouri, an enthusiast for fitness and healthy eating. Dissatisfied with storing wholesome, natural food in plastic bags that would end up in landfills, she got the inspiration for the first self-sealing silicone bag. A skilled team of developers brought her vision into reality, and she launched Stasher with her exciting new product. Today, her enterprise is not only a certified woman-owned corporation, but a B Corp – and has won multiple awards, including the GIA Global Innovation Awards.
