It stretches all the way back to the year 1800, when John McCann built a watermill on the banks of the fresh, trout-filled River Nanny. He ground County Meath oats there, and by later in the 19th century, these delicious oats had appeared at number of great Exhibitions, making them famous in Europe and America.
