And for those who have missed pizza, Kinnikinnick makes pizza dough so custom, gluten-free pizzas can be made right at home.
Kinnikinnick Was Started by a Man with a Mission
Ted Von Selzam became interested in health foods way back in the 1980s. When he offered some of his handcrafted baked goods at a farmer’s market, a customer asked whether he could make gluten-free foods as well. This put the proverbial bee into Ted’s bonnet and he started to work out recipes that would not contain any gluten. Ted worked out some recipes and it wasn’t long before word about how good his baked products were began to spread. He eventually went into business with Jerry Bigham, who was interested in gluten-free foods because his wife suffered from celiac disease. This was a great move for all, and Kinnikinnick foods soon blossomed even more and expanded its operations.
