Making Your Natural Home Look Inviting is Easy with Now Designs
Now Designs makes many different items that help make the natural home more cozy, comfortable, and convenient. From fun mugs that look like you picked them up at a local craft fair to table linens, kitchen linens, rugs, mats, bags, and totes, their housewares have a whimsical but high quality look. They use natural ceramics, fabrics such as 100% cotton, and similar materials to make their products. In some cases, they use materials such as vinyl backing on their welcome mats, but usually with natural components like coconut fiber, too, for their special look and texture.
The Long and Storied History of Now Designs
The company started out back in the Sixties as Danica Imports, a 1964 founded importer bringing European ceramics to the United States. Just three years later, they launched their own line of household textile goods such as tablecloths and towels. Jeremy Braude and Rodney Benson bought the company in 2004 and began making top quality home décor items with a unique appearance and feel. Today, design is carried out in Vancouver, while the goods themselves are made overseas – such as their 100% cotton goods made in India.
Now Designs is a Company for the 21st Century
Socially responsible and environmentally positive, Now Designs does their best to help create a more positive world. The company is part of the Climate Smart program and encourages their employees to recycle and use eco-friendly products at home. They’re always looking for ways to cut down on the greenhouse gas emissions from their operations, too. In the overseas part of their operations, they always pay at least the local minimum wage, and avoid using child or forced labor.
