    Burt's Bees - Beeswax & Royal Jelly Eye Creme - 0.25 oz. (7 g)

Burt's Bees Beeswax and Royal Jelly Eye Cream is an eye treatment fit for a queen. Burt's Bees Royal Jelly Eye Creme will nourish and smoothe the delicate skin around the eyes, and help diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while providing long lasting moisturizing protection.

How Beeswax and Royal Jelly Eye Creme Works
Royal jelly, which is fed to the queen bee to extend her life, is packed with 134 nutrients, including 17 amino acids, B-vitamins and vitamins A, C, D and K. Here, it's blended with rich beeswax, soothing aloe vera gel, apricot kernel oil and vitamin E to create a nourishing cream that minimizes the appearance of fine lines and reduces puffiness in the delicate skin around your eyes.

    Featured Ingredient
Beeswax: A natural wax made by bees in the cell walls of honeycombs, this substance is a natural emulsifier used in cosmetics. It adds a wonderful natural smell and color to products and helps to seal and protect the skin when used in moisturizing formulas.

    Royal Jelly for Beautiful Skin
Royal jelly is made by worker bees and fed to the queen in her first days of life to ensure her growth and fertility. It's considered to be one of the world's most nutrient-rich substances, packed with 134 nutrients, including essential amino acids, minerals and Vitamins B1, B2, B5, B6, C, E along with Biotin, Niacin and Folic Acid. No wonder it helps the queen grow to 40 times the size of worker bees and live 50 times longer.

This natural ingredient is widely used around the world, where it is known for its ability to enhance skin texture and smoothness. Burt's Bees uses royal jelly in many of their natural skin care products because it is known to help enhance skin's texture and reduce the appearance of fine lines. Royal jelly has also been found to have antioxidant properties and be beneficial to over-all health and anti-aging programs.

To ensure that the bees and their hive are never harmed by Burt's Bees' harvesting practices, they source royal jelly from only the queen larvae. Their food source is never compromised during the harvesting process because these larvae are continually stocked with the substance at a rate much faster than they could ever consume it. That means both you and the queen can reap the benefits of royal jelly.

    Burt's Bees Frequently Asked Questions
    Are your products hypoallergenic?
There is no defined methodology to test for allergic reactions in beauty or personal care products, nor does the FDA regulate use of the term "hypoallergenic." Consequently, Burt's Bees does not position their products as hypoallergenic. A list of ingredients for each product is available on individual product information pages on this site.

Are your products safe for pregnant women to use?
Burt's Bees recommends that any expectant mother check with her physician before changing her skin care routine with their products, or any other line of products.

How long will my Burt's Bees products stay fresh and what is the best way to store them?
Burt's Bees products are made with natural ingredients. They purposely present our products in smaller portions so you finish them while their ingredients are still fresh and providing their maximum effectiveness. As such, we recommend you store creams and oils in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight and heat. Creams may be stored in their cartons for extra protection.

Where are Burt's Bees products made?
Over 95% of Burt's Bees products are made right in their own manufacturing plant in Durham, NC. The rest are made by other respectable American manufacturers.

Do you test on animals and do your products contain animal-derived ingredients?
Burt's Bees does NOT conduct product or ingredient tests of any kind on animals. A few of their products contain ingredients derived from animals such as beeswax, royal jelly, milk and carmine.

I am allergic to bees. Can I still use your products?
Burt's Bees does not use actual bee venom in their products – only bee by products such as honey, beeswax, royal jelly and honey powder. However, if you are allergic to bee by-products, then Burt's Bees does not suggest using their products. They recommend that you contact your health care provider when changing your skin care regimen to find out which products are best for you.

I work with computers much of the day and I noticed that my eyes were getting dark and to some extent dried out. I put a tiny amount of this on around my eyes and after one week the circles around my eyes reduced and they were definitely not so dry. Great product.

This product has a nice smell, and is very rich. I use it as a night crème for around the eyes. I can still feel the richness of it in the morning. Like most Burt's Bees products, I find the texture a little challenging--you have to warm it up between your fingers before applying to the eye area to soften the beeswax.

A little heavier then the other eye cream, but a great product to moisturize the under eye area. Dab it on morning and night. Have used these items for 14 years!

    About Burt's Bees

At Burt’s Bees, they scour the good earth to find the most natural, effective ingredients to put in our products. To Burt’s Bees, the word “natural” means only one thing. It means, “harvested from nature.” And they adhere to that definition like the strictest of school teachers. There are ingredients that you will never find in any Burt’s Bees product. Things like petroleum which can be toxic. Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, which is a harsh, aggressive ingredient used in certain beauty products. And when was the last time you saw a farmer growing Propylene Glycol? Rather than loading their products up with harsh chemicals or unnecessary fillers, they offer you only the good stuff.
