California Baby Everyday/Year-Round Aromatherapy Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) states that if exposure to the sun is unavoidable and your baby is under 6 months, a non-chemical sunscreen (like ours) should be used; consult with your physician. The AAP recommends that because an infant's skin is very thin and sensitive, infants under 6 months should be kept out of the sun. California Baby Everyday/Year-Round Aromatherapy Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30 is scented with a beautiful aromatherapy blend that includes lemongrass. California Baby Everyday/Year-Round Aromatherapy Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30 is ideal for use on face & body (does not sting the eyes). California Baby Everyday/Year-Round Aromatherapy Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30 comes in a convenient flip-top tube. California Baby Everyday/Year-Round Aromatherapy Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30 provides high-level protection against sunburn. California Baby Everyday/Year-Round Aromatherapy Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30 is water resistant, and retains effectiveness after 80 minutes of activity in water or perspiring.

California Baby's non-chemical PABA free sunscreen employs a highly micronized titanium dioxide (non- whitening) that scatters and reflects dangerous UV rays, offering UVA-UVB broad-spectrum protection. California Baby added Japanese Green Tea (for its anti-oxidant properties) and a beautiful essential oil blend. California Baby's formula is simple and elegant. California Baby Everyday/Year-Round Aromatherapy Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30 glides on easily and will not slip off when it comes into contact with water, so you can feel comfortable that it will last. California Baby Everyday/Year-Round Aromatherapy Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30 is a non-staining formula.

Dermatologists and the American Cancer Society urge the use of sunscreen every day and year-round.

    For Grownups:

Moms, California Baby Everyday/Year-Round Aromatherapy Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30 works great under make-up because it is non-greasy and creates a nice cover-up base under foundation or powder.

    Winter use:

Since studies show that the risk of sunburn increases at higher altitudes, it's especially important to wear sunscreen on the slopes. Even if you stay at the same elevation all winter long, don't let winter's chill fool you, the sun is still strong and can do lots of damage to your skin. The gentle water resistant formula won't drip into your eyes and sting when you sweat. Clouded vision from runny sunscreen is annoying on the beach and on the ski slopes it can be downright dangerous.

I've used this on both of my babies, and neither has ever gotten burnt. The kids have been in the swimming pool with this, and it seems to last very well.

I recently learned how toxic oxybenzone in sunscreen is and was looking for a non-toxic sunscreen for my family. I read reviews and looked up ingredients and decided to try 3 different brands: Soleo Organics, Badger and California Baby. I like the Soleo and Badger, but don't like California Baby. CB has titanium dioxide, which is more toxic than zinc oxide and it went on really white, was almost impossible to rub all the way in and gave me a rash on my arm. Soleo and Badger both work and feel about the same. Soleo is a little thinner in texture than the badger, which makes it a little bit easier to rub in. They are both have a little bit of a greasy feel to them, but it's not bad and I would rather have a little greasy than toxic. The badger seems to maybe be a little more water resistant. I used them both yesterday, trying to see a difference. I would recommend either and I have both to use.

I can't say enough about this product - it works better than any other sunblock product I've tried on my children's very fair skin. It protected them against the hot NC sun in the middle of July. It is very thick going on and requires a fair amount of rubbing in so that the whiteness of the lotion goes away. But a little bit of effort is a small price to pay to avoid sunburn on me and my kids.

    I RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT!

    About California Baby

    Growing a green business
California Baby continues to innovate and grow. They are proud that California Baby is the only complete natural baby line to make the jump from a niche market to a nationally recognized brand that is sold in top retail stores like Whole Foods, Babies R’ Us and Target. California Baby works with leading raw material suppliers to create and pioneer safe, new and improved green ingredients. True to their sustainability-focused roots, they steer clear of Diethanolamine (DEA), sulfates, dyes, numbing agents, and ingredients that can trigger allergies in young ones or chemically sensitive adults, including synthetic fragrances, dairy, soy, peanuts and gluten. Their strict standards ensure that all of their products are CA Prop 65 compliant, which means they contain no carcinogens such as 1-4 Dioxane or phthalates. California Baby's essential oils are third party tested for purity.

    Beyond green – go sustainable
California Baby understands the anxiety that accompanies the steady stream of toxic and environmental crises in the news -- phthalates in fragrances and sippy cups, arsenic in talcum powder, pharmaceuticals in our water. That is why they’ve been committed to sustainable business practices from the get-go, using sustainable and biodegradable ingredients and recyclable packaging for their products. Eager to take green to the extreme, California Baby is converting all aspects of business and manufacturing processes to earth-first, zero waste, solar power and recyclable systems.

Their eco-friendly California Baby showroom, featuring such sustainable materials as cork flooring and zero or low VOC paint, serves as a learning laboratory to the public, teaching parents and others how to embrace the earth-first, natural lifestyle they’ve cultivated for more than 20 years—encouraging others to learn from their experience.

    Spreading the love
Their efforts to protect future generations extend beyond their Los Angeles facilities. An active member of the Organic Trade Association, California Baby serves on a task force committee to recommend organic and safe cosmetics standards in the cosmetics industry. California Baby also collaborate with leading groups and companies to initiate congressional action that will establish federal legislation demanding safe cosmetics. They believe that their mission extends far beyond creating products that are safe for children and healthy for the environment. They strive to educate and enlighten parents to the simple principles of natural living, adhering always to their founding philosophy: what’s good for the environment is good for families.
