    Burt's Bees - Baby Bee Buttermilk Soap - 3.5 oz. (99 g)

Burt's Bees Baby Bee Buttermilk Soap is specially formulated with Buttermilk. This French-milled soap is gentle enough for everyday use. Leaves baby's skin clean, soft, and smooth. Baby Bee Buttermilk Soap is pediatrician-tested and hypoallergenic.

How Baby Bee Buttermilk Soap Works
This gentle baby soap is made with buttermilk, a natural, soothing skin cleanser and moisturizer. Oat flour calms irritated skin and honey and glycerin moisturizes baby's skin. SLS-, phthalate- and paraben-free.

Only the Purest for Baby's Skin
Babies are blessed with skin that hasn't weathered any of the damage caused by years of exposure to the elements. But that also means this skin is very delicate. That's why it's important to cleanse and moisturize this precious skin with only the mildest, purest soaps, lotions, oils and powders, like our natural skin care products for baby. Instead of using ingredients that can be potentially harmful to your baby's health and the environment, Burt's Bees use gentle natural ingredients like these to ensure your family's well-being:

    • Sweet almond oil instead of mineral oil, which is often used in baby oils. Mineral oil, a petro chemical, is a non-renewable by-product of crude oil with potential human health risks.
    • Cornstarch instead of talc, which is often used in baby powders. Talc, if inhaled, can reach even the smallest area of the lungs.
    • 100% natural preservatives instead of parabens. Some parabens are potential endrocrine disruptors, meaning that they may interfere with the body's hormone system.

These natural ingredients help baby stay soft and safe.

    Featured Ingredient
Buttermilk: This specialty milk is richer in fats and emollients than whole milk. For centuries, milk has been used as a natural, soothing skin cleanser and skin softener.

    Burt's Bees Frequently Asked Questions
    Are your products hypoallergenic?
There is no defined methodology to test for allergic reactions in beauty or personal care products, nor does the FDA regulate use of the term "hypoallergenic." Consequently, Burt's Bees does not position their products as hypoallergenic. A list of ingredients for each product is available on individual product information pages on this site.

Are your products safe for pregnant women to use?
Burt's Bees recommends that any expectant mother check with her physician before changing her skin care routine with their products, or any other line of products.

How long will my Burt's Bees products stay fresh and what is the best way to store them?
Burt's Bees products are made with natural ingredients. They purposely present our products in smaller portions so you finish them while their ingredients are still fresh and providing their maximum effectiveness. As such, we recommend you store creams and oils in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight and heat. Creams may be stored in their cartons for extra protection.

Where are Burt's Bees products made?
Over 95% of Burt's Bees products are made right in their own manufacturing plant in Durham, NC. The rest are made by other respectable American manufacturers.

Do you test on animals and do your products contain animal-derived ingredients?
Burt's Bees does NOT conduct product or ingredient tests of any kind on animals. A few of their products contain ingredients derived from animals such as beeswax, royal jelly, milk and carmine.

I am allergic to bees. Can I still use your products?
Burt's Bees does not use actual bee venom in their products – only bee by products such as honey, beeswax, royal jelly and honey powder. However, if you are allergic to bee by-products, then Burt's Bees does not suggest using their products. They recommend that you contact your health care provider when changing your skin care regimen to find out which products are best for you.

What Burt's Bees is All About
Your well-being is affected every single day by the personal care products you use. Burt's Bees' goal is to create and educate people on truly natural products that have a positive effect on both you and the world you live in for the good of your well-being, for the good of the environment and for The Greater Good. Simply put, they strive to make people's lives better every day — naturally.

The Story Behind Burt's Bees Brand
Burt's Bees has come a long way from selling home-made beeswax lip balms and hand salves at local craft fairs, but their belief in creating truly natural products that are good for you and the environment hasn't changed.

Vegetable soap base, parfum (fragrance), butyris lac (buttermilk powder, babuerre en poudre), avena sativa (oat) kernel flour, CI 77891 (titanium dioxide), limonene.

It works fine, but not super moisturizing... my kids have dry skin so a good soap is important to me. This is just okay.

A nice and creamy soap. It smells so delicious. My daughter had really bad eczema and it did not exacerbate it. I liked it using this on the body and the baby shampoo bar on the hair.

    I RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT!

    About Burt's Bees

At Burt’s Bees, they scour the good earth to find the most natural, effective ingredients to put in our products. To Burt’s Bees, the word “natural” means only one thing. It means, “harvested from nature.” And they adhere to that definition like the strictest of school teachers. There are ingredients that you will never find in any Burt’s Bees product. Things like petroleum which can be toxic. Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, which is a harsh, aggressive ingredient used in certain beauty products. And when was the last time you saw a farmer growing Propylene Glycol? Rather than loading their products up with harsh chemicals or unnecessary fillers, they offer you only the good stuff.
