Glucosamine
A glucosamine based nutritional supplement is suggested to give your canine additional raw materials used in joint repair. Glucosamine can take 3–4 weeks to start showing its effects. It can take up to 6 weeks to reach full therapeutic effect in the body, so the trial period for medication is usually around 3–5 weeks minimum before changing the regime.
MSM (Methylsulfonylmethane)
MSM is promoted as a natural source of sulfur by the supplement and health food industry. MSM is commonly used (often in combination with glucosamine and/or chondroitin) for helping to treat or prevent osteoarthritis. Some researchers have suggested that MSM has anti-inflammatory effects.
Suggested Use
Directions:
Mix in your dog's food or give as a treat.
- For Dogs 1-15 lbs: Give 1 tablet in the morning or evening
- For Dogs 16-30 lbs: Give 2 tablets in the morning or evening
- For Dogs 31-70 lbs: Give 2 tablets in the morning and 1 tablet in the evening
