Cold Pack Service by Polar Ice Company LuckyVitamin.com Cold Pack Service
This service is ideal for items that do not require refrigeration, but might melt or otherwise damage under extreme heat and temperatures during summer months or when shipping to warm climate destinations. It is ideal for foods, chocolates, soft gels, capsules, gummy vitamins, etc....
If this service is selected we will have your order items packaged with frozen shipping grade ice packs to to keep product chilled during transit. This service is ideal for orders that include non-refrigerated items (probiotics , flax oils and other items requiring refrigeration already include this service at no additional charge). Products that are kept refrigerated in our warehouse are noted accordingly on the product page and automatically include the cold-pack service.
- You are purchasing a service, we will include as many ice packs as necessary to properly accommodate the size of your order.
- These are the same manufacturer certified cold packs used to deliver temperature sensitive items to our warehouse from suppliers.
- While these cold packs will warm and melt in transit (no mess) they do help to keep items cooled during the initial early stages of transportation.
NOTE: Cold-Packs tend to melt after 24-48 hours of once removed from their frozen environment. For this reason, we STRONGLY recommend you select 2nd or Next Day Shipping to your daytime address as your expedited shipping method when choosing to add a Cold-Pack Service to your order and consider any weekend delays. While the cold-pack and/or your products may be warm upon arrival, your package has been cooler during the transit time than it would have been without this service. This is comparable to how manufacturer's deliver products to their distributors.
Additional tips and suggestions for dealing with temperature sensitive items in warm weather conditions:
- Choose an expedited shipping method.
- Ship to your day time location so package is not left outside in sun or heat for long periods of time.
- Place items in refrigerator for a 1-2 hours after receipt.
This is not always a necessary service but if you opt not to include the cold-pack with your order we cannot be responsible for damage to these items due to temperature sensitivity.

What a great idea, offering a seperate/additional cold pack service for items that I would like to keep fresh/cool. Now, if I also use UPS 2nd Day Air, my protein bars won't arrive melted and nasty, like poo!

Excellent Service! Keeps my products cold and fresh in the summer time. Helps to choose an expedited shipping method to insure my package gets here cool and fast. I always ship to my work address too so it does not get left outside by the delivery driver. Thanks for offering this Lucky Vitamin!

I was hoping this pack would keep my probiotics cool during transport during the summer. It's just too small - the 4 by 6-1/2" pack doesn't even fit around the bottle. And if you don't choose express shipping, the gel will actually make your bottle warmer in 3 days. If you get the cold pack for free, take it. But otherwise, spend your money on express shipping.

I was disappointed in the cold pack. I thought it would work better. I live within a one day delivery zone and by the time I recieved my order, the pack was melted and everything was wet. Lucky for me everything was well-sealed.

Was melted and hot when it arrived. What good does that do?

Really helpful. An order from supplier that didn't rercommend this stuff came all stuck together. Lucky vitamins knows what they are doing.

they tend to leak,have used twice and the casing seems to weaken and they leaked.

On a super hot day, it seemed to keep the contents of my package cool enough. I happened to be home to get the package immediately, but the contents were only a little warm. I have them in my freezer now for future use.

I'm not sure if these helped or not, but not bad for the price. My gummy vitamins didn't arrive melted, but the packs were warm and had been wrapped in bubble wrap in an envelope. I know this was a great idea since one of them leaked, but I felt that it defeated the purpose of keeping my gummy vitamins cool.

These "cold" packs were hot upon delivery and probably defrosted very soon after shipment. save your money! They might even have kept the contents warmer than without, since they appear to hold the heat. terrible!

Mine was packed with 2 ice packs and although we were in 95 degree weather, they weren't cold at all and my bars were melted, but I managed to salvage them.

I didn't track my order, so not sure how long this lasted, but it was still cold when I got it. I would recommend.

The ice pack was warm when it arrived, so don't think it kept my medications cool at all. I even paid extra for the faster service!

Highly Satisfied with this product, it did keep the chocolate fudge bars cool.

The type of cold pack included could not have remained frozen in a plain cardboard box without further insulation for more than 5-6 hours in the summer heat. When it arrived it had long been liquid, and felt quite warm to the touch as did the vitamin bottles. Since it was vitamin C, very susceptible to heat, I am concerned about their potency. I bought two bottles, thinking that the cold pack service had been tested and proven effective. Good effort but needs work.

It's hard to determine how well this product worked in transit, how long it stayed cold before it lost its cool temperature altogether. By the time it reached me it was no longer cool and the Collagen was warm. So how long it was subjected to the heat in the mail, and if the heat affected the product, I have no way of knowing. But, I will reorder it because however long it works in this heat, is better than not at all.

It's hard to recommend this as it was completely melted upon arrival. Obviously, it wasn't designed to stay frozen for a long period of time. But, the products that it was intended to cool arrived a tad bit melted. This did not really effect the quality of the product, but I did buy the cold pack to prevent this.

Don't seem to put enough in, even with paying for two-day service. I'm sure it helps, but I wish you'd consider the exceptional weather when deciding on how much is needed, or use foil- insulated bags/boxes to make them last a bit longer.

Cardboard box was wet but inside was okay

It might have helped to keep my product cool. I reused the cold packs later to keep my lunch cool.
