Where did my favorite product go, has it been discontinued?
This question is one that is asked quite a bit. Everyday Minerals knows it’s not easy to say goodbye to a personal favorite product, but sometimes a product just isn’t as popular with other EM fans and their warehouse space is not limitless. As such, these products are periodically discontinued. That being said, it’s super important to Everyday Minerals to be able to share with all of you about their process. Everyday Minerals believes that they have the ideal Creative Team and they have all been dreaming up unique new ideas for years now, it’s what gives them their daily zeal! Some of these uncommon creations include Everyday Minerals' closeable sifter jars, one penny 7 customizable samples, their 100% fur-free vegan bamboo brushes, and totally vegan range of makeup and skincare. Everyday Minerals collectively reviews all of the feedback that comes from their customers on a regular basis, and runs analytics to determine which products are the most popular. Unfortunately, if a product falls short on their list of the least products made, then Everyday Minerals has to say goodbye to that product. Once again, based on Everyday Minerals' customer’s feedback, during the year Everyday Minerals will organize what they call, “Reissue Parties.” These parties are online and offer some of Everyday Minerals' goodbye products in limited quantities until they sell out. Be sure to look for those via Everyday Minerals' newsletters. Everyday Minerals also suggests that if you come across a I-can’t-live-without-it product, perhaps snag multiples to have on hand for a rainy day.
Are Everyday Minerals products gluten free?
Currently, Everyday Minerals does not use the following ingredients in their products nor do they have plans on incorporating such ingredients as: wheat, oat, rye, and barley. Everyday Minerals is not a certified gluten free facility. Each of their products has an ingredient list on the product page, simply look at the ‘ingredient’ tab to determine if the ingredients are suitable for you.
About Everyday Minerals
Carina Menzies is a label-fanatic and always has been. As a young girl she spent all of her time meticulously researching the ingredient lists on all of her products. To her dismay, many of her favorites had some very unfavorable components. After working for a few major cosmetic lines and realizing that they would never offer the simple, natural products that she and many other women were looking for, Everyday Minerals was born.
Carina is committed to finding the purest form of naturally sourced ingredients and scours the globe looking for the most cutting edge developments to make your skin happy. All of Everyday Minerals' products are all natural, completely vegan, cruelty free, and handmade in Austin, TX, with eco-friendly, recyclable packaging, staying true to their commitment of preserving the natural beauty of the world and each other.
Created in 2006, Everyday Minerals' goal is to help all women feel confident and creative by providing easily wearable products made from the highest quality at a reasonable price. Everyday Minerals wants every woman to take control of her makeup look and feel comfortable doing so. Have fun. Be varietal. Be yourself.
No Animal Testing
Everyday minerals has never participated in the activity of animal testing on their ingredients and or finished products, nor do they do business with any supply chain that participated in the act of animal testing. Everyday Minerals currently purchases cosmetic and food-grade ingredients that have been evaluated on human volunteers. Everyday Minerals' policy clearly states that they will not conduct business with any supplier that participates or champions such activities.
It should be noted that the EM Team is fully committed to their No Animal Testing Policy, to honor this commitment they have signed with the Leaping Bunny Organization. Everyday Minerals' journey with them requires their supply chain of ingredient purchases to have signed affidavits stating that they will not conduct animal testing at any time. To ensure that their suppliers stay in good standings with their beliefs, every year new docs must be filled out by Everyday Minerals' supply chain.
Everyday Minerals realizes that ethically sourced, quality ingredients are the surefire way to guarantee effective products.
For example, Everyday Minerals sources all of their rich and exotic butters from Brazil! Three of Everyday Minerals's most utilized butter ingredients are Cupuacu Butter, Murumuru Butter, and Shea Butter - each one is super special and unique in its nurturing properties. Cupuacu Butter is soft, creamy and oh-so-moisturizing. The Cupuacu tree is native to the northern region of Brazil, and works wonders for a glowing and hydrating look. To make the butter, the pulp of the cupuacu tree is extracted and incorporated into a handful of Everyday Minerals' products.
Murumuru Butter comes from the Murumuru tree in Brazil, and offers skin-glistening results when used. Murumuru butter is a super emollient, and has a divine natural earthen aroma.
The radiant results that this ingredient gives your skin is one of the main reasons Everyday Minerals hearts it! Murumuru Butter provides intense hydration to skin and hair, and locks in moisture like magic. The butter is actually extracted from the seed of the plant, and has a light amber color that's just wonderful. This butter is also made up of a nurturing assortment of essential fatty acids (such as oleic acid, lauric acid, palmitic acid and myristic acid) and Vitamin A. It's anti-aging properties are super effective, and it helps to treat dry, cracked skin and lip care.
Shea Butter is made up of moisturizers that are the same as the ones our body naturally produces, in the sebaceous glands of our skin. What’s so great about sourcing these raw ingredients from Brazil is that Everyday Minerals has a personal connection with the Amazon. Carina’s relatives live in Brazil. Everyday Minerals hopes that due to the popularity of these ingredients, the people who live and work within these environments can continue to do so in a positive way that benefits both their community and the rainforest.
Raw plant-based oils are hugely beneficial in keeping skin youthful and fresh, and Everyday Minerals goes to great lengths to bring these wild harvested oils to you! The best ingredients always deliver the best performance.
Everyday Minerals specializes in the simple! Typically, makeup and skincare lines are overloaded with too many or unnecessary filler ingredients. Everyday Minerals' focus is to make every product using 5-8 natural, plant and mineral based ingredients, using exotic ingredients sourced locally and from around the world, all while avoiding harsh chemicals.
Other ingredients that have become Everyday Minerals' hallmark are, Ultramarine Blue (they use this in their foundations, due to the fact that it softly mutes the base shades and gives them a cool, earthy tone), Manganese Violet (this vibrant hue comes from the earth and is just gorgeous when used to provide rich color to their eye colors), Chromium Oxide Green (the most drool-worthy shade of bright green that you've ever seen), Yellow / Red / Black Iron Oxide (they use iron oxides in all of their makeup products) and Mica (this is their cornerstone, as it provides a white pearl-like luster and is the main ingredient in all of their powders as it give off the most luminous, radiant appearance, and provides a beautiful natural shimmer to skin).
