Jack N' Jill Extra Soft Bio Toothbrush - Hippo

Jack N' Jill Extra Soft Bio Toothbrush is equipped with rounded nylon bristles (SOFT) for superior cleaning. Jack N' Jill Extra Soft Bio Toothbrush's ergonomic handle is made from 100% Corn Starch (Non-GMO). Jack N' Jill Extra Soft Bio Toothbrush is the first of its kind in the world, designed for children.

About Jack N' Jill
Jack N' Jill is a natural toothpaste for babies, toddlers & children that is safe to swallow. It was first made in Melbourne, Australia in 1949 and it has been Justin and Rachel's family business for more than twenty years. It continues to be made in Australia and Justin and Rachel are excited that Jack N' Jill is now available in the USA and UK as well.

A few years ago Justin and Rachel had their first child and immediately joined many parents the world over who are concerned about the current environmental issues and the direct effects they have on children. They started to question everything he came into contact with, not wanting to expose him to unnecessary additives and chemicals, and felt frustrated at the lack of choices in early childhood oral hygiene. With a background in pharmacy, they set out to formulate the absolute safest toothpaste for their kids and yours. In the process, they also made it the most fun & yum!

Jack N' Jill toothpaste is 100% safe for young children – especially because they have a tendency to swallow it, rather than spit it out! All Jack N' Jill packaging is designed to be appealing to children and is cute enough that parents won't mind it sitting on their bathroom vanity. Alongside the toothpaste they have designed and manufactured the first children’s toothbrushes that are made of NON GMO cornstarch, and are therefore biodegradable and recyclable. Did they mention 'cute'?

Justin and Rachel are very excited that Jack N' Jill toothpaste has been evaluated by researchers from Skin Deep - the Environmental Working Group's database for the safety of personal care products. Their toothpaste rates with a 'zero' - the safest rating they have. Justin and Rachel are proud supporters of EWG - they refer to their guidelines and resources on a daily basis.

At Jack N' Jill they believe that businesses have an obligation to the environment, that’s why they have formulated an all natural, hypoallergenic toothpaste with organic ingredients, and designed their packaging to be minimal, recyclable and BPA Free.

Suggested Use

Use minimum pressure and brush in a circular motion. Use with Jack N' Jill Natural Toothpaste made with organic flavors and calendula.

Replace toothbrush every 8 weeks or earlier if worn. Replace after illness. Rinse thoroughly before and after use. Sterilize often. Allow bristles to air dry. Do not use without adult supervision. Do not chew or bite!

Care & Handling:

  • Rinse off bristles under water before and after brushing. Run your thumb backwards and forwards across the bristles to clean effectively.
  • Shake off excess water.
  • Store upright in Jack N' Jill Biodegradable Bathroom cup to allow bristles to air-dry.
  • For general hygiene, store toothbrush as far away from toilet area as possible.

Sterilizing Your Toothbrush
Plaque, as well as the interior of the mouth, contains many micro-organisms. Inevitably, these micro-organisms become trapped between the bristles of your toothbrush. Because your toothbrush is often in a moist environment, bacterial growth can flourish. That's why it's imperative to keep your toothbrush clean and to sterilize it regularly.

Jack N' Jill recommends replacing toothbrushes every 8 weeks and after illness.

  • Rinse bristles as above.
  • Shake off excess water.
  • Place toothbrush in bathroom cup, head down.
  • Pour in enough hydrogen peroxide 3%** to cover head & bristles.
  • Leave for 10 minutes.
  • Rinse bristles under tap.
  • Shake off excess water and store in wash cup as above.
  • Sterilize once weekly.

**Hydrogen Peroxide 3% is widely available from pharmacies.

About Hydrogen Peroxide:
Hydrogen Peroxide 3% has mild and safe antimicrobial properties. It quickly breaks down to water & oxygen. It can also work as a bleach, so care must be taken when handling. As with any product of this nature, open with care and make sure cap is pointing away from body. Hydrogen Peroxide is not to be ingested.

This Bio Toothbrush has a handle made from 100% corn starch (non-GMO) and soft nylon (recyclable) bristles.
