Hydro Flask Infographic -What's Inside
The entire Hydro Flask line is vacuum insulated which means there is an absence of matter between the two stainless steel walls. Since there is no matter, the temperature outside of the flask has a difficult time affecting the temperature of the contents inside the flask.
Cold up to 24 hours/Hot up to 12 hours
Due to the fact that their flasks are vacuum insulated, your hot beverages stay hot up to 12 hours and your cold beverages stay cold up to 24 hours.
18/8 Stainless Steel
All of their flasks are made of 18/8 stainless steel; BPA free and highly resistant to absorbing odor, taste and bacteria. They are simple to clean, don't have a liner to scratch and are completely recyclable.
They guarantee every Hydro Flask against manufacturer's defects for 100 years or one lifetime, whichever comes first.
All Hydro Flasks are made of 18/8 stainless steel. They offer a multitude of color choices with a powder coat finish as well as the Classic Stainless.
Their double wall vacuum insulation prevents condensation with your cold drinks. And, when you are drinking a hot beverage, the vacuum insulation prevents the heat to transfer to the outside of the Hydro Flask, so your hands should always be comfortable.
Why should I buy a stainless steel Hydro Flask?
Whether the contents are hot coffee or ice-cold water, flavors won't linger, and the bottle's materials won't leach into your drink. Additionally, they will maintain their hot qualities for up to 12 hours and cold qualities for up to 24 hours. Hydro Flask bottles have no linings or coatings and are 100% BPA-free. They are made of 18/8 stainless steel meaning they are 18% chromium and 8% nickel. 18/8 stainless steel is 100% recyclable, as well.
For every Hydro Flask sold, they will donate 5% to a charity of your choice. Following a purchase, simply go to fivepercentback.org, choose from the list of available causes and enter your bottle's serial number.
What can I put in my Hydro Flask?
Juice, water, coffee, liquor, ice, warm beverages, cold beverages - any and all will taste great out of your stainless steel Hydro Flask. Their bottles are made from food-grade 18/8 stainless steel. Just make sure to care for your bottle by washing and rinsing it after use.
Stainless Steel is not meant to rust but can happen under the right circumstances. Please note that juice or any acidic beverages can cause rust to develop over time.
Can I put my Hydro Flask bottle in the freezer?
No, they do not recommend putting your Hydro Flask bottle in the freezer. For maximum temperature efficiency, you can pre-cool and pre-warm your Hydro Flask. Simply place cold water or warm water in the bottle, replace the lid, and let stand for five to ten minutes before replacing with your beverage of choice. Hydro Flasks are impervious to the outside elements; therefore the freezer won't really have an effect on them.
Can I put my Hydro Flask bottle in the microwave?
Your Hydro Flask is not meant to go in the microwave due to the fact that it is made of stainless steel. In general, they highly recommend using caution when drinking hot beverages directly from any of their products. Extremely hot liquids can scald the user. Also, keep out of reach of small children when product contains warm to hot liquids.
Are your vacuum insulated bottles dishwasher safe?
They do not recommend putting your Hydro Flask bottles in the dishwasher.
How should I clean my Hydro Flask?
They recommend washing all of your Hydro Flask products with hot, soapy water, rinsing well and air-drying with the cap off to ensure the maximum life of your container. If the bottle sits with liquid for an extended period of time, they recommend a soak of white vinegar with water or baking soda with water, scrubbing with a bristled dish brush and washing and rinsing normally.
Their plastic caps are dishwasher safe. If your bottle sits with liquid for an extended period of time, make sure to also soak the cap by following the instructions listed above.
About Hydro Flask
The Story of Hydro Flask
It all started in 2008 on a hot day on a beach in Hawaii.
That day, Travis Rosbach had an epiphany. He realized that his water bottle, and all the others he saw around him, didn't measure up. He saw bland, sand-encrusted containers of increasingly warm water. His subsequent research revealed that there were no great options that delivered high performance, safety and attractive design. This gaping hole in the market led to the creation of the first Hydro Flask, incorporating principles of vacuum insulation, safety (BPA-free), food grade stainless steel, a range of fun durable colors and a charitable arm called FivePercentBack.org to give a portion back to worthy causes.
Hydro Flask settled in Bend, Oregon at the base of the Cascade Mountains with world class downhill and Nordic skiing, snowboarding, road and mountain biking, trail running, rock climbing, fishing, golf and other activities. Abound with outdoors enthusiasts from recreational hobbyists to professional athletes, word quickly spread in Bend and the surrounding area of the new container and its breakthrough technology. People were amazed after sipping ice-cold water from their Hydro Flask after it sat in a blazing hot car for hours and equally impressed after snowshoeing up a mountain and still being able to enjoy piping hot coffee at the summit.
Today, over 5,000 retail storefronts across the country proudly carry Hydro Flask. These include many of the country's top outdoor, sporting goods, golf, natural food and other specialty retailers. These also include many of the nation's top microbreweries who proudly showcase their logos on engraved or screen printed Hydro Flask growlers - the first double wall stainless steel vacuum-insulated growler available.
Hydro Flask is a rapidly growing company that still embodies the values that were engrained from the start:
"Deliver what food and beverage containers should have been all along (a flask), stand behind great flasks with equally great service, continuously innovate and improve, believe that great flasks and great causes go together, and walk the talk in a way that values our team, great results, bigger causes and the activities that put flasks and selves to the test."
"Be the runaway leader in high-performance, insulated steel food and beverage flasks."
"Free the world from lukewarm water, produce the highest quality flasks, provide excellent customer service and make a difference in their local community and beyond."
