Most pads and pantiliners use abosrbent fibers that have been whitened using chlorine-containing substances which creates dangerous toxins, like dioxin. Studies have shown a direct link between dioxin exposure in the environment and cancer, birth defects, and reproductive disorders. The abosorbent fibers in Seventh Generation pads and pantiliners are chlorine free. They also use a natural absorbent material derived from wheat. You've made a healthy choice for your body.
Seventh Generation is committed to becoming the world's most trusted brand of authentic, safe, and environmentally-responsible products for a healthy home. For 20 years, the closely held Burlington, Vermont-based company has been at the forefront of a cultural change in consumer behavior and business ethics.
One of the country's first self-declared "socially responsible" companies, Seventh Generation is a business that operates according to a new and different set of principles and values that in many ways are a marked departure from those long considered "traditional." Its business practice is focused on offering people avenues to express their idealism, passion, and commitment to causes larger than themselves at every point along its supply chain—from suppliers and partners to shareholders, customers and its own staff.
The company derives its name from the Great Law of the Iroquois that states, "In our every deliberation, we must consider the impact of our decisions on the next seven generations." Every time you use a Seventh Generation product you are making a difference by saving natural resources, reducing pollution, keeping toxic chemicals out of the environment and making the world a safer place for this and the next seven generations.

Our pads are made of a combination of absorbent materials, polyolefins, adhesives, and a silicone-coated paper. The top layer is a non-woven polyolefin cover sheet. The absorbent materials consist of TCF (totally chlorine free) wood pulp, and Lysorb, an absorbent gel. Lysorb, also known as SNAP (super absorbent natural polymer), is a polysaccharide derived from wheat. Polysaccharides are complex sugars found in many natural substances, like the fibers of cotton, wood, and wheat.

These pads are perfect... No scent, they come individually wrapped and so can travel, and no weird wings that get bound up.
In trying to judge these fairly, I give these 4 stars. They work fine..they do what they are supposed to do when for you need a pad. However, I am not a big fan of using pads in general, for various reasons. A non-applicator organic tampon or a menstrual cup is a much better way to go for women imo. However, I do understand that some women need to or prefer to use pads. I myself use them on a rare ocassion and when I do these are a good choice. 7th generation is a reliable, all natural brand (no chemicals, real cotton, etc.) and I LOVE that these don't have wings, something I despise and seems to be more the exception than the norm. I have heard of women complaining about these products not staying in place very well because the sticky strips aren't always so sticky. I've never had a problem. Just wear some snug, but comfy, fitting panties and you should be all set!
Seventh Generation Maxi Pads are just about perfect: they stick well, are chlorine and chemical free and are really absorbant. And...they don't have those stupid wings that get caught up in everything and don't stick where they're supposed to.
Not my preferred pad, but the individually wrapped packaging is great for traveling so I like to keep some on hand.
I personally don't use these, but I order them for someone who keeps on re ordering so I guess they're good!
I love that these are a chlorine free, healthier product. They work well also.
I have used this item for many years and I have found that they absorb better and hold more than any other store brand. They do not leak out the sides like other brands do. They stay stuck better and dont move around or get bunched up or twisted. I love them because no chemicals are used on them and makes for a healthier alternative to chlorine treated store bought brands.
Very absorbent, feels good. Sometimes a sticky residue remains on panties.
I have very sensitive skin. This does not cause rash.
Although not perfect for my needs, they are the best I've come across so far. I like that they are individually wrapped in a plastic-like cover, which can be used to dispose of used pads.
