MRM - Traveler's Intestinal Support - 60 Vegetarian Capsules
MRM Traveler's Intestinal Support is ideal for business trips and vacations, yet gentle enough for everyday use. Traveling can result in unforeseen intestinal discomfort due to contaminants in food and water, or as a result of changes in environment or schedule. Toxic bacteria, viruses, and parasites can all cause acute GI discomfort, in the form of loose stools, too-frequent bowel movements, or abdominal pain and reduce enjoyment during travel.
To ease unexpected intestinal discomfort, human bacterial strains L. gasseri, B. bifidum and B. longum help promote regularity and suppress the growth of "bad" bacteria and inhibit the production of toxins. Calcium carbonate and short-chain FOS have added benefit of improving stool formation and boosting mineral absorption to combat diarrhea and dehydration.
Qualified Synbiotics are specific pairs of pre- and probiotics that aid the growth and colonization of beneficial microflora. Based on the most current research, MRM pre-screened 42 different combinations of pre- and probiotics to achieve the greatest possible synergy to deliver the most potent formula to support optimal digestive health.
Intestinal Detox Support combines MRM’s condition-specific Qualified Synbiotics with silymarin to aid bowel detoxification and encourage overall gastrointestinal health.
Live human strains of probiotics, proven to neutralize harmful toxins during digestion, are used in concert with prebiotic support to increase colonization of healthy bacteria in the colon, while silymarin protects the liver from the demands of stress.
BioSorb Silymarin Complex provides the highest form of milk thistle extract for ultimate bio-availability that promotes bile secretion, which is a vital part of your body’s natural detoxification process.
- Qualified Synbiotics aid unforeseen intestinal discomfort during travel
- Clinically effective mix of probiotics and prebiotics urge colonization of beneficial bacteria
- Select probiotics have documented stability and survival at the level of the gut
- Ideal formula for those with food sensitivities
- Vegetarian and vegan-friendly
The Importance of Intestinal Tract Health
A Balancing Act
The gastrointestinal (G.I.) tract, or gut, is quite literally the core of a person's being. At its simplest, keeping the gut healthy is a question of balance - not only of pH levels, but of colonies of microflora (bacteria) as well. In fact, the human gut is a environment of continual interplay between populations of good and bad microflora. It is where trillions of bacteria live, grow and die with changes occurring on a minute-to-minute basis. And that bacteria is either supporting your good health, or opposing it.
Colonies of "beneficial" bacteria populate the gut to work as an ongoing immune barrier to disease and ill health, while colonies of "pathogenic" bacteria surge and ebb in response to factors such as diet, hydration level, and daily stress - among other factors - which contribute to ill health.
The arduous task of keeping good bacteria alive and well, as part of thriving colonies within the G.I. tract, comes down to the management of a very delicate balance. Successful maintenance of that delicate balance assures that harmful bacteria will be overcome by helpful strains of bacteria, and will be crowded out to eventually perish.
But ensuring that happens demands an ongoing process of address with the many variables that help encourage the survival of harmful bacteria in the first place: Poor food choices, insufficient hydration, stress, lack of sleep, and the use of antibiotics or frequent use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, known as NSAIDs.
It then becomes a regular practice of adopting measures that discourage the proliferation of gut-disruptive pathogenic bacteria that enjoy exponential growth at the hands of a reckless lifestyle, and encourage the colonization of intestinal flora that protects your good health.
Playground as Teacher
Think of gastrointestinal balance of good-to-bad bacteria as a stance in the middle of a playground teeter-totter. In order to strike balance, some counter-balance is forged to keep one side from hitting bottom.
For this relationship to work, both sides must be poised and balanced, or neither side works.
But for anyone who has attempted this, it is clear that the management of small changes in this point of balance requires constant attention, along with minute adjustments and fixes that make balance a relatively simple affair.
The moment those fixes are ignored, balance skews quickly and easily in one direction or the other, and anything from imbalance to chaos to total failure ensues. At that point, restoring balance back to a center point becomes a much greater challenge.
And so it is in the realm of gut health:
Allowing the balance of microbial stasis to go beyond a point of a quick simple fix is called gut dysbiosis - a condition in which alterations in the development or composition of bacterial colonies is disturbed in some way to either activate healthy immune response, or alter its effectiveness.
In recent years, science has discovered that the careful pairing of specific, lab-tested combinations of pre- and probiotics creates the best match.
Not all pre- and probiotic pairs work well together. Some pairs accomplish little more together than they might have alone, and offer no added benefit to restoration of gut flora, or to gut or immune health in general. Much like a perfect mate versus an incompatible one, a 'qualified' match sets the stage for an optimized pairing of beneficial bacteria and food source that is capable of producing the best proliferative results at the gut level.
MRM has been tireless in conducting research that identifies specific and ideal couplings within a complex "qualification" process. It's what we call "Qualified Synbiotics" - a way to enable the isolation of the most effective pairings, based on the quality of the synergy they create as a unit.
These very specific pairings of probiotic and food source enable the immune system to be revitalized, and gastrointestinal health to be restored by way of super-teams of pre-qualified synbiotics that have the best chance of growth and survival in colonizing strains of beneficial bacteria at the gut level.
Qualified Synbiotics are that rare coupling - that match made in scientific heaven, full of sparks and fireworks.
