At Two Leaves, they work tirelessly to provide great organic tea - they seek out the gardens committed to growing new organic tea bushes. It's not easy, but their goal is to provide organic tea that tastes like nothing you've ever had before. • To Small Farmers: Two Leaves And A Bud journeys to the gardens show them time and time again that great growers deserve to be rewarded for great tea. As a result, they pay more for premium whole leaf teas, ensuring that more money makes it back to the source. Two Leaves is also one of the founding members of the TRUST Organic Small Farmers Initiative. When sourcing African Sunset rooibos tea, they found that the farmers didn't receive a fair share for their efforts - Two Leaves helped to spearhead the movement to form the TRUST initiative so they could reward South African farmers for their hard work in providing great tea. History
Founded in 2005, Two Leaves And A Bud Tea Company began with a journey. Founder Richard Rosenfeld travelled the world on business, where meetings are synonymous with amazingly flavorful cups of tea. After returning to the States, Richard looked everywhere for a good cuppa tea... but had a hard time finding one.

Richard travelled to gardens in China, Sri Lanka and Japan to establish relationships with tea growers in order to bring premium, whole-leaf tea from the best harvests to tea drinkers around the world. Two Leaves Tea Company has been recognized for the passion, care and effort that goes into cupping their tea, with awards such as the Best New Tea award from 2005-2006 from the Specialty Coffee Association of the United States, and the People's Choice Award at the Great Canadian Tea Steep Off in 2006.
