Indigo Wild Dragon's Blood Zum Bar Goat's Milk Soap - 3 oz.

Indigo Wild's Dragon's Blood Zum Bar Goat's Milk Soap is a super emollient, ultra-moisturizing soap handmade without animal tallow, synthetic colorings or fragrances. Infused with Dragon's Blood, a moisturizing tree resin, Indigo Wild's Dragon's Blood Zum Bar Goat's Milk Soap is a legendary bar that will breathe life into scaly skin.

If you're good in this life, maybe you'll come back as a Zum Bar in your next life. This natural soap has the good stuff of goat's milk, 100% pure essential oils, veggie oils, herbs, natural glycerin and natural mineral pigments. But why? Well, it's better than stuff like tallow (beef fat) or PEG-6 methyl ether (a thickener) or tetrasodium EDTA (water softener) or lard (yeah, no explanation necessary).

The bad stuff in un-natural soap is obvious, but some wonderers wonder, "Why use goat's milk?" Well, there's an udder difference in the pH balance of goat's milk. Goat's milk makes our natural soap more akin to the skin than anything else - not too alkaline, not too acidic, but just right. So it doesn't dry skin or leave it feeling oily.

Indigo Wild is hot on the cold-process saponification method. This maintains the integrity of the natural ingredients. As the vegetable oils are mixing they saponify and produces a super-moisturizing by-product called glycerin. Most soap companies remove the glycerin and sell it for extra profit. Not Indigo Wild. It's called glycerin not glycerout. That is one of the many secrets of how Indigo Wild makes the best natural soap.

Indigo Wild loads up their natural soap with massive amounts of pure essential oils (natural plant extracts that give the Zum Bar its fresh scent) so they are highly aromatherapeutic. With over 31 different scents you're bound to find one (or 31) you just can't live without!

You can use Zum Bar natural soap in your linen closets to keep your sheets and towels smelling fresh. Or store one in your car to give you a blast of aromatherapy every time you start your engine.

There's no wrong way to use a Zum Bar! Here are a few ideas to get creative with our all-natural soap:

  • Tuck a Zum Bar under your clean folded sheets in the linen closet to make them smell dreamy. When you're ready to put them on your bed you'll have Zum Bars dancing in your dreams.
  • Throw a Zum Bar in your unmentionables drawer. Your undies will thank you.
  • Hide a Zum Bar in your car and drive around town with a fresh, natural lingering scent. It may get you out of a speeding ticket...Just ask Boo Boo.
  • Place a Zum Bar or two with your clean folded towels to keep them smelling clean and fresh.
  • The best way to use Zum Bar natural goat's milk soap is with a friend!

The Year of the Dragon's Blood
Indigo Wild doesn't usually toot their own kazoos, but they seem to have hit a vein with this Dragon's Blood stuff. In case you didn't get the memo, it comes from a tree resin that offers super magical moisturizing and restorative powers. Dragon's Blood started with one little Zum Rub, now their most popular rub, and spread like dragon fire...No dragons were harmed in the making of this product.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Is Indigo Wild's soap made using the Cold Process Method?
Yes, Indigo Wild makes soap the old fashioned way-from scratch. Zum Bars are made from a combination of fats (natural oils) with a lye solution until a process of saponification takes place. Saponification is a chemical process, which converts a fat into soap by reaction with an alkali (also known as "lye"). Saponification occurs as the raw materials are combined, stirred and neutralized. As a result of this process, a very important by product emerges-Glycerin, which is a natural skin softener and the foundation of all natural soap.

Why goats milk?
Goats milk is naturally ultra-moisturizing. Goats milk soap contains capric, caprylic and capronic acids and natural occurring triglycerides. Otherwise known as good fats. The result is a pH level that is good for healthy human hair and skin, while commercial soap can dry out the skin to the point at which it feels taut and itchy. The oil glands are forced to counteract, overproducing oils in an attempt to rebalance the pH of the skin. The result can be oily skin, clogged pores, blackheads and yuck - pimples.

Does Indigo Wild use lye in their soap?
Yes, Indigo Wild does use lye in their soap making process. Indigo Wild uses sodium hydroxide in their soaps. All soaps (excluding detergent bars, which are totally synthetic and chemical laden) are made with lye but no lye is left in the finished soap. Indigo Wild's soaps are balanced so the chemical reaction has the correct amounts of both lye and oil for a balanced reaction. The result is that Indigo Wild's soap is very close to neutral.

How does Indigo Wild color their soaps?
Indigo Wild uses ultramarines and iron oxides for their colorants. They never use FD&C colorings in any of their products. All of the colors in the soaps are all scented the same. For instance, with lavender-mint the blue is not lavender and the green is not mint. The same goes for sandalwood-citrus. Both colors are scented the same.

Does Indigo Wild test their products on animals?
Indigo Wild does not test their products on animals. They love to test them on themselves and their friends and family.

What are the ingredients in Indigo Wild products?
Indigo Wild uses the most awesome ingredients made from the earth!

What does Indigo Wild use as preservatives?
For the products that require preservatives, Indigo Wild uses tocopherol (vitamin E), rosemary oleoresin and potassium sorbate.

Where does shea butter come from?
Indigo Wild's shea butter is extracted from the nut of the Karite tree in Africa. No solvents or hexane are used in this process.

Where did Indigo Wild get the name "zum"?
Zum is simply a play on the word "some". As in "This sure is "zum" bar of soap!"

Where The Indigo Wild Things Are
Before Indigo Wild touches your body, it touches these bodies. No worries, Indigo's Wild is not showering with your soap singing "I'm Too Sexy" before they ship it off to you. Their talking handcrafted, handmade, hand-mixed, hands-on…which is all pretty dang handsome.

So take a spin with Indigo Wild's handy work. It's mixed and mashed with 100% pure essential oils, shea butter, meadowfoam seed oil, soy wax, goat's milk, botanical extracts and other jujulicious ingredients. It all helps to carry on some karma and magnify the mojo. Then it's flashed by the butt of a gnome, danced over by a shaman, kissed by a fairy and blessed by a goat.

Causes Indigo Wild Supports
At Indigo Wild, they love dogs and hate breast cancer. Many of their own pups are rescues, and they are active in Kansas City Sheltie Rescue. They also have some badass cancer fighters in their ranks, and they are working with some great local charities to support cancer warriors.

Saponified Dragon's Blood infused 100% food grade olive, coconut, palm & castor oils, in a goat's milk base with pure essential oils and natural mineral pigments.

The Zum Bar soaps are wonderful. This scent is great for a man or woman. This soap lathers nicely and leaves your skin (and bathroom) with a nice clean scent. My husband loves them as much as I do and has used just about all the scents. This soap is a must have in my house. I was please that I could find them on Lucky Vitamin.

About Indigo Wild

Indigo Wild’s not-so-secret ingredients: goats milk, glycerin, soy wax, shea butter, meadowfoam seed oil and pure essential oils for whiff. This company runs from bad ingredients like artificial surfactants (synthetic foaming agents), petrochemicals, glycols and parabens. And they take a pass on animal testing – the only animals they test are boyfriends, girlfriends, husbands and wives. What we're saying is, there's a lot that goes on behind indigo wild’s shower curtain before any products go behind yours. At Indigo Wild, there's more than meets the whiff.
