Icon Headlamp Lime by Black Diamond
Black Diamond's brightest headlamp—and rechargeable! With up to 160 hours of burn time and three watts of light output in a rechargeable compatible package, the new Black Diamond Icon is for serious night owls. Its compact front housing holds the three watt LED flanked by four SuperBright LEDs to produce either a night piercing searchlight, or bright ambient lighting. Battery power meter uses three colored indicator lights to display remaining battery power or charging status of NRG battery pack. Battery-saving circuitry and a glove-friendly Positron switch enable you to access multiple brightness settings and strobe mode for both the three watt and the Superbright LEDs. To turn on the Icon, depress and release (click)
the switch, located on the bottom of
the housing. Either the three SuperBright LEDs or
the three-watt HyperBright LED will activate at the
brightest (high) setting. Two full depressions will
access the other mode: To access the brightness
settings in either mode, depress the switch
halfway in sequence.
Half depression = Middle setting
Half depression = Economy setting
Half depression = Strobe
(SuperBright LEDs only)
Half depression = Return to
brightest setting
A full depression “click” and
release of the switch will turn the headlamp off
at any time.
Mode Memory: The Icon will remember the last
setting you used. If you wait five seconds after
turning off the lamp, the lamp will turn back on at
the same mode setting at full brightness.Warnings
A responsible adult must supervise use by
children under the age of 12.
To reduce the risk of strangulation, do not
place the headlamp straps around your neck.
Always inspect your headlamp for proper
operation prior to using and, for critical situations,
carry a second light and sufficient spare batteries.
Do not stare directly into the beam or shine it
directly into others’ eyes. Intense light can damage
your eyes or the eyes of those around you.
