This does what it looks like it should; it protects more of your messy eater from their mess. The sleeves are not very long and aren't super baggy so I suspect I will probably be taking my toddler's shirt off this winter when we use it. It also takes a bit more time to get on compare to a traditional bib (shouldn't surprise anyone).
The flip pocket doesn't quite look like in the photo. I guess they accidentally reversed the material on the pockets for lucky vitamin's order so that when you flip the pocket you see the backside of the fabric pattern, but it works just the same. By having the pocket sewn onto the inside of the bib, you have to turn it inside out (or flip it) so that it is out where the food falls. By doing this, it causes the pocket to stand out from the rest of the bib so that it does catch a bit more than the equivalent bibs we have that are sewn directly to the outside.
The product is great, I just wish they said that it is for little girls - my son looks ridiculous with duckys and flowers. They need to have a larger shot of the pattern for people to see
