BHI/Heel Rhus Tox PC is a homeopathic medication for the temporary relief of rheumatism, inflammatory conditions, and chronic skin conditions. Rhus Tox PC is a safe, effective, natural remedy ideal for all ages, including children and seniors. Rhus toxicodendron is a remedy frequently indicated for conditions that are accompanied by fever, swollen glands, inflammation of mucous membranes and/or muscles, skin conditions, and restlessness. Homeopaths prescribe Rhus tox. for a number of complaints including poison ivy, chicken pox, back pain, colds, herpes, hives, flu, mumps, measles, sore throat, nerve pain, muscle strains and sprains, dermatitis, arthritis, bursitis, carpal tunnel, rheumatism, and fevers. Ailments arise from overexertion, a change in weather, cold/damp weather, or from getting wet or chilled.
Rhus toxicodendron is the homeopathy remedy commonly known as poison ivy. This plant from the Anacardiaceae family grows in fields and wooded areas in North America. The plant is commonly identified by its pointy leaves that grow in threes. There are two varieties of this plant. Poison ivy is a twining vine with a thick stem that branches out into slender stems. Poison oak is a shrub that reaches a height of 4 ft (1.2 m). The plant is also known as mercury vine or poison vine.
A main constituent of the plant is toxicodendric acid, a volatile substance that is most potent after dusk, in damp or cloudy weather, or in June and July. This oil is poisonous when it comes in contact with the skin. Symptoms of poisoning include an itchy red rash that forms blisters, fever, loss of appetite, nausea, headache, delirium, swollen glands, and oral ulcers. The medicinal use of poison ivy was discovered by accident. A French physician in the late eighteenth century discovered that a patient's chronic rash had been cured as a result of accidental poison ivy exposure. The doctor then went on to use the leaves and stalk of the plant in the treatment of skin disease, paralysis, and rheumatic complaints.
The human body is one of nature’s works of art. When it is healthy, it is perfectly in tune with itself and the environment. But sometimes that balance is disturbed and people become ill. That is where BHI/Heel comes in. Their medications gently promote the body’s processes of self-healing, helping it combat illness and recover its biological balance.
Homeopathic combination medications are made of several different natural substances are easy to use fulfill high quality standards. But what exactly are homeopathic combination medications? In classical homeopathy, a single medication is prescribed based on the patient’s physical and mental symptoms. BHI/Heel approaches homeopathy in a new way.
These combination medications are made up of several different natural substances, mostly homeopathically prepared. These have been carefully chosen and blended to stimulate various biological functions. They are then used, just like conventional medications are, to treat one particular condition like the common cold or dizziness.
