What is Presbyopia?
Presbyopia translated from Greek means “aging eye.” It is a condition that causes vision to progressively blur with age, causing eye fatigue, poor night vision and reliance on bifocals & reading glasses. This homeopathic formula is designed tp stimulate the body’s ability to support eye vitality and refresh tired, dry, red and irritated eyes.
What is Blur Relief™?
Blur Relief™ is a homeopathic eye drop with seven active ingredients which are indicated to address blurry vision, dry, red, tired eyes and poor night vision from glare.
How does Blur Relief™ work?
Blur Relief™ works via the traditional homeopathic mode of action, which is that it utilizes small amounts (micro-dilutions) of ingredients which would cause, in a large dose – blurry, dry, red and tired eyes. These ingredients in a micro-dilution gently stimulate the immune system to address these symptoms.
Can I use Blur Relief™ with contact lenses in place?
People report the drops feel great with contacts. You should consult your doctor before use.
Should I see a doctor?
Blurry vision may be a symptom of other conditions which should be ruled out by an doctor.
How long should I use Blur Relief™ before getting relief?
Every individual is different and since the homeopathic active ingredients are stimulating the body’s response, results will vary from person to person. Generally, results will be very gradually noticed between weeks to months. Dryness, redness and sensation of fatigue are often relieved immediately. People report that the drops feel wonderful to use and have a soothing, vitalizing effect
What adverse reactions, drug interactions, contra-indications, or possible complications are there?
Homeopathic remedies have a 200 year history of having no known adverse reactions or drug interactions. They are okay for children and adults. USE ONLY AFTER DIAGNOSES BY A PHYSICIAN. A physician should always be consulted to rule out serious causes. Initial worsening of symptoms may occur, a situation known by homeopathic doctors as a healing aggravation. If this occurs, discontinue use until symptoms subside, then resume use.
Overview: What Is Homeopathy?
Homeopathy is a system of complementary medicine, based on observations of natural healing over thousands of years.
Homeopathy is based on laws of nature and has been used successfully for over 200 years. It was formalized into a scientific treatment modality in 1796 by Dr. Samuel Hahnemann. Dr. Hahnemann documented that the underlying cause of disease was solved by preparing all-natural remedies. These remedies are made by repeatedly diluting and potentizing active homeopathic ingredients.
The “like cures like” principle says that a sick person can be cured by taking very small amounts of ingredients that cause their pain. As an example, Nux Vomica is an ingredient in a few TRP products (most notably TRP’s Fibromyalgia Relief™). Nux Vomica is a poisonous flower, but with a small amount that has been diluted, it may help symptoms such as sleeplessness or irritable bowels (TRP’s Irritable Bowel Syndrome Therapy™). Another example is salicylic acid which causes ringing of the ears in a toxic overdose and in a microdilution, triggers relief of the same symptoms (TRP’s Ring Relief™).
Understanding Homeopathic Drug Potency
A principle tenent of homeopathy is the observation that the medicine is more effective as the active ingredient(s) are diluted and potentiated. Because many homeopathic ingredients are potent, volatile, and sometimes even harmful in their most natural form, TRP dilute the substance enough to maintain their healing properties while still making them safe for human consumption. On a drug ingredient panel, the active ingredient will be followed by a number, then a “C” or an “X”. This number (“12X”) represents how many times the ingredient has been diluted and potentized.
What’s The Difference Between Homeopathy & Conventional Medicine?
It is generally accepted that there are three types of treatments available:
- Manipulative, that is to directly impose change on tissue or function, usually via drugs or surgery.
- Replacement, that is to replace necessary elements such as tears, hormones or insulin.
- Regulatory, that is to prompt the body’s immune/self regulating (mechanism of homeostasis) system as with immunizations, allergy desensitization acupuncture and homeopathy.
Conventional medicine traditionally utilizes the first two options while Homeopathy, the third – attempting to trigger the body’s self regulating (immune) system to perform.
For example: lubricant eye drops replace tears – homeopathic drops stimulate tears. Antibiotics kill bacteria – homeopathic medicines trigger stronger immune response. Cataract surgery removes the offending tissue but doesn’t address the underlying chronic deficiency – homeopathy stimulates the body to reverse the deficiency.
What’s the difference between herbs and homeopathy?
There are a number of differences between herbs and homeopathy:
- First, the targeted therapeutic mode of action of the two is completely opposite. Herbs provide a natural pharmacologic and/or nutritional effect. Homeopathic medicines attempt to trigger the body’s self regulating mechanisms to respond with its own capabilities to heal itself or regain balance.
- Second, the methods of preparing the remedies are very different. Herbalists utilize the actual plant in material doses. Homeopaths utilize micro-dilutions.
- Third, in prescribing the remedies Herbalists utilize a rich history (even thousands of years) of experience, pharmacologic data (alkaloid x vasoconstricts, etc.), and established formulas to achieve the desired effect.
Homeopathy uses a strict scientific set of rules to determine which remedy is indicated for which symptom/condition utilizing the “Law of Similars”, or “Like Cures Like” as the guideline. Its remedies are processed and regulated (in the U.S.) by the FDA according to the strict guidelines of the Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia of the United States (HPUS).
Is homeopathy regulated?
All homeopathic remedies are regulated in the United States by the Federal Drug Administration (FDA), according to the strict guidelines of the Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia of the United States. All active homeopathic ingredients listed in the required “drug facts panel” which are appended with the acronym “HPUS” must be manufactured according to the strict guidelines of the homeopathic pharmacopoeia of the United States, the guiding reference for the FDA’s regulating of homeopathic medicines.
Can Homeopathic Medicines Be Taken In Conjunction With Other Medications?
Every case is different, so TRP would recommend consulting with your health care provider first. However, homeopathic medicines are safe, have no known side effects, and are often used in conjunction with other medications. Many people have used homeopathy treatments as complementary with other treatments.
Can I Use Homeopathic Medicines By Myself, Without A Doctor’s Permission?
TRP recommend seeking the advice of a doctor before undergoing any type of treatment. However, homeopathic medicines are safe, and are clearly labeled with warnings and directions for proper use. Please read carefully, and follow the directions.
Are Homeopathic Medicines Safe To Use While Pregnant?
Like any other treatment or medication, pregnant women should seek their physician’s advice before using TRP products.
Can I Treat My Child With Homeopathic Medicines?
For treating children that are older than 2 years old, please follow the directions clearly printed on all product labels. For children under the age of 2, consult a physician.
Does Homeopathic Medicine Have An Expiration Date?
Many homeopathic medicines last between two and five years before expiring. Some homeopathic medicines have no expiration dates, and, as such, are safe to use indefinitely.
Can Animals Be Treated With Homeopathic Medicines?
Homeopathic medicines have been used to treat pets, farm animals, competitive animals, and even wild animals. For further information, please contact your veterinarian or homeopathic veterinary reference book.
