The oil extracted from the borage flower is actually the world's richest source of Gamma-Linolenic Acid (GLA). This omega-6 fatty acid is vital for the formation and maintenance of healthy skin cells. What is Borage?
BORAGE (borago officinalis), commonly called "starflower", is a well known herb which can be found in almost all temperate regions of the world.
The plant grows 18" to 36" high and spreads 12" to 20" wide. The leaves can become straggly and messy, but its abundant bright blue, star-shaped flowers, which bloom most of the summer, make the plant one of the prettiest and most colorful herbs. It can frequently be found bordering herb and vegetable gardens and it is reported that fields of cultivated borage plants in North America create a vivid green and purple landscape.
Borage is commercially grown for the very valuable oil found in its seeds. The great value of this oil is that it produces the highest yield (up to 24%) of the omega-6 fatty acid, GLA. Among other benefits, GLA is essential for the formation and maintenance of healthy skin cell membranes.

My what seems like an endless (and expensive)search for a healthy daily moisturizer with spf can officially be called off!! It is finally found in this product. This is a wonderful daily moisturizer that is just creamy enough to offer moisture and smoothness but does not make my skin oily at all. I am allergic to so many ingredients and so many products and this moisturizer protects my skin and is soothing. No burning whatsoever! I am amazed that such a simple, inexpensive product can be so effective. I cannot recommend this highly enough!!

Yeah! a product that lives up to its claims! I've used this product for several months and have watched fine lines disappear. Love that it's non-greasy. It goes far. Just a small amount does your whole face. Worth every penny! And it has SPF!

This is a good moisturizer, but is definitely on the oily side, made for skin a lot dryer than mine.

I like the lightweight feel of this moisturizer and the way my skin feels after using it. It does not produce a matte finish, but that's fine with me as I usually dust some mineral powder over my face after my moisturizer has been absorbed. Since I bought this in winter, this product hasn't been put to the test yet for its SPF -effectiveness - hope it does well!
