Q: Do the Nathan steel bottles contain BPA?
A: No portion of our steel bottles contains BPA.

Q: What is the material that the Nathan Steel Bottle is made from?
A: The cap is polypropylene, the finger loop is ABS plastic, the straw is polyethylene, and the nozzle issilicone. None of these parts contain BPA.

Q: Is the Nathan Steel Bottle lined?
A: No, the inside of our bottle is not coated or lined with a resin.

Q: Why does my bottle squirt water sometimes upon opening?
A: To ensure our bottles are leak-proof, we have placed a seal on the bottle that is tight, sometimes causingpressure to build in the bottle. To release the pressure, tilt up the Flip Straw slightly, and then fully extendthe straw and drink.

Q: Why does my bottle seem to leak from the hole near the finger loop?
A: If you close the Flip Straw too quickly after drinking, the water in the nozzle area that hasn’t had thechance to retreat down will secrete out the hole in the straw. To avoid this, wait a couple of seconds aftertaking a sip before closing the straw to allow time for the water to retreat back down the straw.

Q: What type of steel is your bottle made from?
A: We use food grade 304, also commonly refereed to as 18/8 stainless steel.

Q: Do you sell replacement parts for the bottle?
A: Yes, we have a Nozzle and Straw Replacement Kit that includes two nozzles and fourstraws.

A: Because our bottles are single-walled, and not insulated, we do not recommend using the bottles for hot liquids.
