Prefer on has worked better than Mederma for me. I applied it daily on my scars and they have gotten lighter quicker than when I used Mederma. I've actually been using this product longer than the 3-5 months that is suggested on the package because my scars continue to fade. Give it a try you won't regret it.

I have used this product for some time and it works unlike scar creams. My keloids don't develop if I apply early and it calms older ones. I have researched other items and I am sure the silicone based may work better but they are much pricier.
