Which products are suitable for vegans?
Currently all products are vegan except for the following lip products which contain carmine. Lipsticks: Pink Rose, Mauve Rose, Claret Rose, Tuscany Rose and Napa Grape, Good For You Gloss: Pleasure and Passion. Lip Crayons: Crimson, Cranberry, Great Pink and Raspberry Port. Blush colors that contain carmine are Burgundy Rose and Orchid Rose. Lip Liner: Mauve. Beige and Medium Beige Cover-Up sticks contain beeswax.
How are Ecco Bella products tested?
Animal testing is unacceptable to Ecco Bella in any form because it is cruel and provides unreliable results. It is not required by law. Ecco Bella tests their products on themselves and they use ingredients that have been in use for years and are considered safe. Unfortunately, many ingredients have been tested on animals by the manufacturers years ago. Ecco Bella is unable to control the testing of ingredients, but they do oppose testing of any materials on animals and ask their suppliers not to test. Currently there are alternatives to animal testing that use cell membranes and computer modeling to determine safety.

I have tried every black mascara available at Lucky Vitamin and this was by far the best. Goes on just as well as commercial mascaras. It did an excellent job of thickening and lengthening from the first use. No irritation (I have very sensitive eyes and can't wear most mascaras) no flaking or clumping, no heavy feel. I don't plan to use anything else again.

This mascara goes on like any other mascara. It does smudge off very easily with a touch of moisture, so it is definitely not water resistant. It's not sweat resistant either.

This is a great mascara. It doesn't clump or flake. It does take a little bit longer to dry, but not much. It never bothers my sensitive eyes (and I wear contacts). I will definitely be purchasing this again!

I was going to try this mascara out but it contains methyl and propyl parabens. Not happening now.. Hopefully they change their ingredients.

thick and clumpy- needs to be applied lightly and then brushed out. Will run by midday or with sweat, tearing, or rubbing.

great color, goes on smooth, lifts and separates eyelashes. It isn't waterproof, but unless you are standing directly in the rain, it doesn't easily smear or come off.

I have VERY sentitive eyes and lashes and this is the ONLY mascara I have found that doesn't irritate me or couse infected lashes. I have tried dozens of different kinds from the cheapest unnatural to the most expensive natural and this is the only one I can wear. I only wish it didn't smear when I sweat!

It goes on very smoothly, feels light, and definitely plumps up the lashes nicely. The only caveat I have is that it is not at all smudge resistant or water proof, so don't wear it if going swimming, to a wedding, tearjerker movie, or anywhere else that might make your eyes moist. Other than that, it is a good mascara and on the plus side, it washes off very easily at the end of the day.
