Because octopamine is not found in humans or other mammals, birds or fish, the natural active ingredients in Sentry Natural Defense do not pose a danger to your family or your pets when the product is used as directed.

Once the product has dried on your pet's skin, the application site should not appear greasy. However, if some of the product did get caught in the pet's hair, it could cause a greasy appearance.

I wanted to love this so much as I refuse to put any chemicals on our pets but the overpowering smell of this product disturbed our cats so much that they looked unwell for days after we applied it to the back of their necks. They were so miserable. We have much more luck giving them yeast (with garlic) tablets designed especially for dogs and cats. Takes about a month for the tablets to work.
