Which Promax energy bars are gluten-free?
Promax Core, PromaxLS and Crunch bars are certified gluten-free by the GFCO (Gluten Free Certifying Organization). The GFCO defines the standard for gluten-free as less than 10 ppm which is half the proposed FDA standard of 20 ppm gluten. GFCO certification requires that each ingredient has been evaluated and approved by the GFCO as gluten-free. In addition, strict standards have been set in the manufacturing facility to assure no cross-contamination. Finally, the finished product is tested as final assurance that Promax bars comply with the GFCO certification. Promax Fit ‘n Crisp bars contain no gluten ingredients but have not yet been certified by the GFCO.
Which Promax energy bars are certified kosher?
Promax Core, PromaxLS and Crunch bars are certified kosher.
Are Promax energy bars free from artificial preservatives, sweeteners, flavors and colors?
Yes. Promax energy bars contain NO artificial flavors, sweeteners, preservatives or colors. That includes no sucralose, aspartame, ace-K or sodium benzoate. We use tocopherols (which are derived from soybeans) in Promax Crunch to preserve freshness.
Do Promax energy bars contain trans-fats?
No. Promax energy bars are formulated with NO partially hydrogenated vegetable oils. Hydrogenated oils are a primary contributor of harmful trans-fats in food products. We use only vegetable fats and vegetable oils in Promax energy bars.
Do Promax energy bars contain high fructose corn syrup?
No. Promax energy bars do not contain high fructose corn syrup.
Do Promax energy bars contain maltitol?
No. All Promax energy bars are maltitol free. Maltitol is a sugar alcohol that is used as a sugar substitute, which can cause gastrointestinal discomfort. Excessive use can have a laxative effect. Additionally, some forms of maltitol have been shown to have a glycemic index equivalent to honey and only one less calorie per gram than sugar.
Do Promax energy bars contain gelatin?
No. Gelatin, typically made from the byproducts of the meat and leather industries, is an incomplete protein source. It lacks the amino acid tryptophan and contains only a small amount of methionine. Because of this, gelatin cannot be used as efficiently by your body as a complete protein such as soy or whey.
Are Promax energy bars just for athletes or bodybuilders?
No, Promax energy bars are not just for athletes or bodybuilders. They offer portable nutrition for on-the-go moms/dads or busy professionals who, at some point in the day, skip a meal or snack on junk food. You can utilize Promax energy bars to fill in daily gaps where you typically skip a meal or make an unfavorable food choice. Promax energy bars can complement a proper, whole food diet.

If you are looking for a bar that can withstand the elements, then Promax Crunch and Fit ‘n Crisp will give you the most flexibility. We can’t say they won’t melt, because if you leave them on your dashboard in the Arizona desert they are going to get soft, but they are pretty resilient! If you want to protect your Promax Core or PromaxLS bar on a hot summer’s day out, try keeping them in your cooler. Going to the mountains? Promax Core and PromaxLS hold up well in cold conditions.
My kids simply love Promax energy bars. Are they appropriate for children?

The development of Promax Bars began, when Mike Walls, the founder of the company, decided it was time the world had a great tasting energy bar. The directions were very specific: Adults had to love what they saw on the label, and everyone had to love the taste. It took more than two years to get it right. Before launching the line, Promax conducted a nationwide taste test. The Promax Bar outscored the leading competitors by as much as 12 to 1. In fact, Promax won every category including taste, mouth feel, and overall satisfaction. While taste launched the Promax Bar, it’s the energy, health, and training benefits that make the bar enduring.
The company was purchased by Marwit Capital, a well-respected private equity firm. Marwit’s goal was to add resources and develop new products in order to expand the Promax Nutrition brand as well as broaden its national distribution.
Promax introduced two new great tasting bars, Rocky Road and German Chocolate Cake, which continue the Promax tradition of providing great tasting bars with a strong nutritional profile. The Rocky Road bar has a great new texture with almond pieces and mini marshmallows. The German Chocolate Cake combines a chewy, German chocolate core with tasty bits of sweet coconut while smothered in a milk chocolate coating.
Promax launched an update to the look of the bar line, but for the most part kept the same great tasting bars within, making small improvements to the Chocolate Peanut Crunch, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, and Lemon Bar flavors. The product line is also being expanded. Promax LS is a new line of stevia sweetened lower sugar energy bars with only 9 grams of sugar and 14 grams of fiber. Promax LS is available in Peanut Butter Chocolate and Chocolate Fudge flavors. Promax is launching a new marketing campaign with the tagline Promax. Life is Go. The campaign celebrates the multi-faceted lives of Promax users, the everyday warriors who make the most of each day
Promax Nutrition continues to expand its nationwide distribution and provide aggressive marketing support. With dynamic and attention grabbing programs, Promax is a major force in the nutrition business, setting trends with forward thinking and innovative products that improve how we take care of ourselves.
