What's the Difference Between the Classic and New Cookies and Plans?
The main differences between the Classic cookies and plan and Plan 10X are the cookies themselves and the times at which you eat them. The new cookies are all-natural, Kosher, and vegetarian, and most people find them tastier. They take less time to bake and package so they cost a little less, too.

Dr. Sanford Siegal created his famous cookies in 1975 to help patients of his Miami, Florida medical practice, Siegal Medical Group, control their hunger and stick to his reduced-calorie diet. To this day, Dr. Siegal mixes every batch of his secret amino acid protein blend with his own hands in his private bakery.
From 1975 to 2002, Dr. Siegal's foods and weight-loss approach were only available from doctors. From 2002 to 2006, Dr. Siegal allowed a company to open diet center franchises that used his name and weight-loss method, and his cookies and other products. The company opened centers under various names including Siegal Smart for Life Weight Management Centers. The relationship ended in August 2006, at which time Dr. Siegal stopped supplying his products to that company.
In 2007, Dr. Siegal and his son, Matthew Siegal, launched a new company to bring Dr. Siegal's COOKIE DIET directly to consumers through a web site, CookieDiet.com (over 130,000 members), and retail stores. As CEO, Matt has led the expansion of Dr. Siegal's COOKIE DIET into an international brand.
