Shampoo Very Volumizing by Burt's Bees
Burt's Bees - Shampoo Very Volumizing Pomegranate & Soy - 12 oz. (350 ml)
Burt's Bees Very Volumizing Pomegranate and Soy Shampoo boosts volume, naturally! Pomegranate Oil and Moringa Seed Extract are blended with a plant-based cleansing complex to gently wash hair. Soy Amino Acids help create life, leaving hair soft, shiny and full of volume.
How Very Volumizing Shampoo Works
Transform fine, flat, lifeless hair into thick and voluminous hair with extra body. Pomegranate blended with natural cleansers made from coconut and sunflower oils cleanses gently, removing buildup, while soy amino acids adhere to hair fibers to lift and separate hair, leaving it soft, shiny and full of volume.
Pomegranate Extract: Pomegranate fruit extract, from the tree Punica granatum, contains several polyphenols and anthocyanidins (pigment that gives certain fruits their dark red colors), which are highly antioxidant, protecting hair and skin from environmental stress.
The Power of Pomegranate
Pomegranate is an ancient fruit with a rich history of uses in traditional medicine. The juice, extract and oil, which are derived from the seed of the fruit, are rich in anti-oxidants that fight free radicals that can damage and age the skin. Pomegranate oil is also a good source of certain nutrients like punicic acid, an Omega 5 conjugated fatty acid, as well as phytoestrogens and a rare, plant-based source of conjugated linoleic acid. Burt's Bees uses it in some of their face and lip products to replenish moisture.
A recent study from the University of Michigan Medical School, published in the February 2006 Journal of Ethnopharmacology, shows that pomegranate seed oil helps stimulate skin cell regeneration. This study joins a growing body of research supporting the benefits of pomegranate seed oil as a skin treatment, including a 2003 South Dakota State University study published in the Journal of Medicinal Food.
Burt's Bees Frequently Asked Questions
Are your products hypoallergenic?
There is no defined methodology to test for allergic reactions in beauty or personal care products, nor does the FDA regulate use of the term "hypoallergenic." Consequently, Burt's Bees does not position their products as hypoallergenic. A list of ingredients for each product is available on individual product information pages on this site.
Are your products safe for pregnant women to use?
Burt's Bees recommends that any expectant mother check with her physician before changing her skin care routine with their products, or any other line of products.
How long will my Burt's Bees products stay fresh and what is the best way to store them?
Burt's Bees products are made with natural ingredients. They purposely present our products in smaller portions so you finish them while their ingredients are still fresh and providing their maximum effectiveness. As such, we recommend you store creams and oils in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight and heat. Creams may be stored in their cartons for extra protection.
Where are Burt's Bees products made?
Over 95% of Burt's Bees products are made right in their own manufacturing plant in Durham, NC. The rest are made by other respectable American manufacturers.
Do you test on animals and do your products contain animal-derived ingredients?
Burt's Bees does NOT conduct product or ingredient tests of any kind on animals. A few of their products contain ingredients derived from animals such as beeswax, royal jelly, milk and carmine.
I am allergic to bees. Can I still use your products?
Burt's Bees does not use actual bee venom in their products – only bee by products such as honey, beeswax, royal jelly and honey powder. However, if you are allergic to bee by-products, then Burt's Bees does not suggest using their products. They recommend that you contact your health care provider when changing your skin care regimen to find out which products are best for you.

About Burt's Bees
At Burt’s Bees, they scour the good earth to find the most natural, effective ingredients to put in our products. To Burt’s Bees, the word “natural” means only one thing. It means, “harvested from nature.” And they adhere to that definition like the strictest of school teachers. There are ingredients that you will never find in any Burt’s Bees product. Things like petroleum which can be toxic. Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, which is a harsh, aggressive ingredient used in certain beauty products. And when was the last time you saw a farmer growing Propylene Glycol? Rather than loading their products up with harsh chemicals or unnecessary fillers, they offer you only the good stuff.
