What is Henna?
NEUTRAL HENNA (Lawsonia Enermis) has a long history of use as a natural conditioner which adds shine and body to hair. It does this by depositing a clear cellophane-like (non-coloring) coating on each hair shaft. This results in lots of bright natural highlights and increased texture and body.
The henna plant is a tall, slender shrub that grows abundantly throughout the Middle East. Its small white flowers yield an essential perfume and its oval-shaped leaves are ground into a fine powder and used as a natural colorant and conditioner.
When this powder is exposed to sunlight and air, its coloring properties are destroyed or "neutralized" but its highlighting and conditioning properties remain.
A special extraction process is then used to recover the rich cellulose-like material that is responsible for the spectacular highlighting effects.
Suggested Use
