They do not currently offer custom logos, colors, or name engraving.

Where are LunchBots manufactured?

What materials are LunchBots made from?
LunchBots (Their containers, lids, and dish set) are made from the highest quality Type 304 Stainless Steel. Type 304 is also known as 18/8 stainless steel, which is the same material used to make flatware.
Tell me about the paint on the lids.
The top of the lid is powder coated using a non-VOC finish. The bottom of the lid is not painted and is natural stainless steel.
How do I know LunchBots are safe?
LunchBots have been independently tested at a lab in California to certify that they are made from the highest quality Type 304 (18/8) stainless steel and that they are completely lead-free and cadmium-free. The lab report can be found on their website.
Use and Cleaning
Can LunchBots go in the dishwasher?
Yes, LunchBots are dishwasher safe. They recommend the top rack or hand washing for the lids.
Are LunchBots watertight?
The LunchBots lids fit snug, but they are not watertight. If the containers are going to be tossed around in a backpack, we recommend dry foods only. LunchBots Rounds are watertight.
Can they go in the microwave? Toaster Oven/Oven? Freezer?
Because they are made from metal, LunchBots should not be put in the microwave. Please do not put LunchBots in the oven either because the container will get dangerously hot. LunchBots should not be put in the freezer, however the refrigerator is fine.
Will they keep food warm? Can I store hot food in them?
LunchBots are made from a single layer of stainless steel and are not designed to keep food warm. You can store warm food in LunchBots. They do not recommend that you store hot food in them because the container will get very hot.
Are LunchBots durable? Will they dent, scratch, chip, etc.
Yes, and yes. Stainless steel is extremely durable however, if LunchBots are dropped on a concrete surface, the color on the lids may chip or scratch.

Lead Free Products
There is a consensus among public health experts that no amount of lead exposure is safe, especially for children. Lead exposure, even in tiny doses, has been linked to IQ deficits, behavioral problems, and many significant health issues. At LunchBots, we are committed to offering the safest, lead-free products.
LunchBots lids and containers are manufactured from the highest quality, food grade, Type 304 stainless steel. Stainless steel is an alloy made from natural elements and is one of the safest materials for food storage and handling. Type 304 stainless is commonly known as 18/8 stainless. This type of stainless steel has great resistance to stain or rust and is easy to clean and durable.
The tops of the LunchBots lids have been powder coated to add color. Powder coating is a durable finish that does not emit any volatile organic compounds (VOC). The coating is applied electrostatically and then cured in an oven. Any overspray is recycled and reused. The bottom of each lid is not powder coated and is natural stainless steel.
LunchBots have been independently tested by Metallurgical Laboratories in Concord, California and are certified to be completely lead-free.
LunchBots are responsibly manufactured in China. Our supplier is very well regarded and their workers have excellent working conditions. The facilities have approximately 215,000 square feet with over 200 employees. The company has been unionized since 2002 and they provide an array of extracurricular activities for their employees who live on site. The company has applied for ISO 9000 certification.
