    Rhythm Superfoods Frequently Asked Questions

Where are Rhythm Superfoods' products made?
All of Rhythm Superfoods' products are made in Texas.

What are the nutritional benefits of sweet potatoes?
Sweet potatoes are packed with Beta Carotene, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, and manganese, and are a good source of Dietary Fiber, Vitamin B6, Potassium, Iron and Copper.

How do you make your chips?
Rhythm Superfoods starts with farm fresh organic vegetables, season them with spices and dehydrate them at a low temperature for hours until they are crispy and delicious. This gentle process leaves the vital nutrients and enzymes intact, while delivering the amazing fresh flavors you can find in their kale chips and sweet potato chips.

Why should I eat raw food?
The theory is that heat changes the molecular structure of foods, rendering nutrients mostly unusable. Cooked and otherwise denatured or processed food is less digestible than raw food. Anything that is consumed that cannot be digested or stored must be eliminated as waste. Eating cooked food produces so much waste in the body that their eliminative organs cannot keep up, and waste accumulates. It is this accumulation that leads to an overall toxemic state in the body and results in disease. Biologically-appropriate, raw food is almost entirely usable by the body, and provides all the nutrients that the body requires, as it does for all the other species of animals on the planet.

Where do you get protein on the raw food diet?
From green leafy veggies, sprouts, fruits, green juices, nuts, seeds and seaweeds. The World Health Organization says humans need about 5% of their daily calories to come from protein to be healthy. The USDA puts this figure at 6.5%. On average, fruits have about 5% of their calories from protein. In vegetables, 20-50% of their calories are from protein. Sprouted seeds, beans, and grains contain from 10-25% of their calories from protein. Therefore, if you are eating any variety of living plant foods, you are getting more than adequate protein. Numerous scientific studies have shown the daily need for protein to be about 25-35 grams per day. So if you ate 2,000 calories per day, and ate raw plant foods that had an average of 10% of their calories from protein, you would get 200 calories worth of protein, or 50 grams. This is more than adequate to support optimal well-being.

Will I lose weight eating Raw?
Many people do lose their excess weight when they switch to a raw food diet. These foods provide you with nutrition without stressing your digestive system. If it the food is organic as well, your body gets high quality nourishment to keep it running smoothly and no toxins that it couldn't break down and would have to find a place to stash.

When you stop eating toxic, processed foods that your body doesn't know what to do with, you will find that you are more in tune with your body and its actual needs. It is almost impossible to gobble down foods without realizing how much you are eating, when you eat raw. As you sample the variety of different foods available to eat raw, your body gets reacquainted with sources of actual nutrients and you may find yourself craving certain foods and wanting to eat lots of them. That's fine; you can even pig out on things your body really needs and still lose weight! In fact, your body will tend to get rid of the fat and stored toxins, when you give it what it really needs and craves.

Do I need to be 100% raw to get benefits?
No. The idea is to introduce more raw and living foods into your diet. You can transition by increasing the percentage of raw food in each meal, every week or every month, until you reach your personal optimal level of raw foods. Many people attest to a 100% raw foods diet, while some say it is too extreme for them.

Are all of your products certified organic?
Yes, all of their products are USDA certified organic. QAI is their organic certification agency.

    Are your products gluten free?
Yes, all of their products are made with gluten-free ingredients. Rhythm Superfoods are currently working on their gluten-free certification.

    Are your products GMO free?
Yes, their products contain no genetically modified organisms.
