O.N.E. Active Coconut Water with Energizing Botanicals Lemon Lime Flavor starts with the pure water from inside a young green coconut – nature’s original sport drink – then we add ginkgo biloba, panax ginseng, catuaba bark and antioxidants.
Of course, they avoid those undesirable ingredients found in other sports drinks (think high fructose corn syrup, preservatives, artificial flavors and day-glo colors ). O.N.E. Active has no fat and no cholesterol and, at just 40 calories, it provides nearly 400 milligrams of potassium per 16.9-oz serving. Like other O.N.E. Drinks, we package in aseptic Tetra Pak cartons.

What is the difference between O.N.E. Active and other sports drinks?
O.N.E. Active is what we like to call “Beyond a Sports Drink.” It is made with Mother Nature’s all-natural sports drink, coconut water, and is enhanced with herbs and minerals to help improve both the body and mind’s performance. Unlike the majority of sports drinks, O.N.E. Active does not include high frutcose corn syrup or artificial colors and is made from fresh coconut water (not from concentrate).

What is ginkgo biloba?
Ginkgo (ginkgo biloba) is one of the oldest living tree species and its leaves are among the most extensively studied botanicals in use today. Ginkgo has been used in traditional medicine to treat circulatory disorders and enhance memory.
What is panax ginseng?
Panax ginseng is currently used in Asian countries to treat heart and lung conditions, as well as for an overall health enhancer. Panax ginseng has been known to have a relaxing effect on the muscles in the lungs. In some studies, a combination of panax ginseng and gingko seemed to increase memory and thinking processes.
What is catuaba bark?
Catuaba bark is a strong tonic and nervous system fortifier, known for its general capability of giving strength and relieving fatigue. It has reported benefits in relieving insomnia from hypertension, regulating restless sleeping patterns, and even in helping to arrest failing memory.
What is the stevia leaf?
The stevia leaf is an herb in the chrysanthemum family, which grows wild as a small shrub in parts of Paraguay and Brazil. The glycosides in its leaves, including up to 10% stevioside, account for its incredible sweetness, making it unique among the nearly 300 species of stevia plants. There are indications that Stevia has been used to sweeten a native beverage called mate since pre-Columbian times. A natural scientist named Antonio Bertoni first recorded its usage by native tribes in 1887.
Will stevia raise my blood sugar levels?
According to some research, it may actually lower blood sugar levels. However, this research has yet to be confirmed and contradictory results make any conclusions premature.
Can I use stevia if I am diabetic?
Diabetes is a medical condition that should be monitored and treated by a qualified physician or healthcare practitioner. However, stevia often can be a part of a healthy diet for anyone with blood sugar problems, as it does not raise blood sugar levels. O.N.E. always recommend you speak to your doctor before consuming any new beverages.
How many calories are in stevia?
Virtually none. The refined stevia extracts are considered to be non-caloric.
Can I combine stevia with other sweeteners?
Most certainly. However, sweeteners in general should be used in moderation in a balanced healthy diet, and refined and artificial sweeteners should be avoided altogether.

Their founder, Rodrigo Veloso, is from Brazil, where he grew up drinking coconut water – both for its benefits and delicious taste. Brazilians give coconut water to their babies when they’re dehydrated, as a treat for kids when they’re hot and tired from playing, and of course everyone on the beautiful beaches of Brazil refreshes by drinking cool, coconut water.
A born entrepreneur, Rodrigo was formulating in his mind how he would bring the concept to the U.S. but he didn’t just want to become another beverage company. He wanted to be an advocate for healthy, natural beverages and educate people about replacing sugary, artificial ones. He was passionate about starting a company that would harvest products responsibly, be a partner with is suppliers, retailers and distributors, package them in a responsible manner, and give back to those less fortunate.
While he was an MBA student at Fundacao Getulio Vargas in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Rodrigo developed a business plan to brand and launch a line of healthy, natural beverages (coconut water being the first) in the U.S. market, and received accolades from the business world. He was the winner of the largest Latin American Business Plan competition in 2005, and the renowned Brazilian business magazine, Exame, (the BusinessWeek of Brazil) named it the Fourth Best Business Innovation of Brazil in 2005, ahead of products from Ford, Petrobras and Unilever.
He then entered the plan in the world’s largest international business plan competition, Moot Corp, at the University of Texas. Also a participant in the competition was Emile Fritz, who would become his wife.
Combining his business acumen with a passion to introduce people to a healthy alternative to artificial and sugary drinks, Rodrigo moved to Los Angeles to launch O.N.E and make his entrance into the highly competitive U.S. beverage industry. O.N.E. Coconut Water made its 2006 debut at Whole Foods Markets to rave reviews and quickly became the #1 selling alternative beverage in all Southern California Whole Foods Markets.
Rodrigo and Emilie quickly grew the business – in the office by day and at stores doing demos in the evenings and on weekends. In just one year, O.N.E. established national distribution with the top natural/specialty distributors, a national sales brokerage network and 4,000 points-of-sale in the U.S. and Canada.
In 2009, O.N.E. grew to more than 30 employees as a result of the company’s first round of institutional investment funding and signing a distribution agreement with The Pepsi Beverage Company. An extension of its coconut water line was introduced with four new flavors called O.N.E. Coconut Water with a Splash, which immediately gained national distribution in Kroger stores and Whole Foods Market.
Distribution exploded in 2011, with nearly half of grocery stores now carrying O.N.E. as well as Convenience Stores, Drug Stores and online retailers such as Amazon.com.
O.N.E. drinks are packaged in environmentally conscious Tetra Pak cartons, underscoring the company’s commitment to the Earth, and the company is a supporter of the business platform of conscious capitalism to educate consumers about the importance of proper hydration in all stages and phases of life – especially for mothers and children. O.N.E. supports several nonprofit organizations – most importantly, Healthy Child Healthy World.
